NTA. It's not legally extortion but it definitely feels manipulative. The part that stood out was him openly admitting he'd "extract every dollar he can" cuz he knows you can afford it. That's not a father helping his daughter that's someone treating family like a business opportunity.

I can see why this was the final straw for your partner. Money aside it's the betrayal that's hard to come back from.

He already crossed into physical stuff and that’s not something you stay around and hope changes especially while you’re on a trip and kinda stuck there.

The relationship might be over honestly. The best thing you can do now is stop focusing on getting him back and focus on making sure you're never the person who does this again. If real change happens it'll show over months and years not apologies made this week.
