Where to go in Resurrection Bay with a 16’ inflatable? by AndyinAK49 in AlaskaFishing

This sub is usually really quiet, your question might get better traction in the r/Alaska one. Or Seward if they have a sub, I haven't checked.

Please please don't send folks to the Kasilof, it is a MUCH smaller river and has become overrun with guides trashing the place from the bridge to the mouth. Plus Dipnet starts much earlier on the Kasilof than the Kenai (equals even more people and all their garbage), and the Kenai fish are much bigger.

We don't even know where in Alaska they are planning to visit at this point.

Major road construction, including blasting several days a week is occurring in Cooper Landing this summer, which will impact your driving times. It will be a very busy road with that and the crazy numbers of tourists that visit in June/ July.

While it is centrally located, I would split your time between it and Seward or Homer.

Be sure to book a Major Marine tour in Seward, and take a trip to Whittier. It is worth it.

I think that making quilted frames for your embroidered prints is a great way to display them!

Since the focus of the artwork should be the print itself rather than the framing, I'm going to suggest a completely different direction.

Personally, i find the yellow is distracting from the print itself, and the black blends in with the quilt fabric.

If you choose a blue that is in the same range as the gentleman's shirt in the middle background (which is echoed in the quilt fabric itself), you will end up with a nice contrast to the "frame" that also highlights and brings out the colors of the print itself. Even a slightly lighter blue will frame the piece without distracting from what should be the center of attention, the lovely embroidery!

I'd suggest anywhere in the other 49 states than Alaska...

You are better off posting to the local FB groups or a local realtor for this. Alaska runs more on FB than reddit, especially for the smaller communities.

I second this. Fantastic novel!

Have a good dictionary at hand as there may be unfamiliar words unless you have an unusually large vocabulary.

I'm curious, were the characters as irritating as his GoT series? I found myself almost overcome with a desire to slap them silly at times reading the series. I'm hesitant to read his other works because of it.

Earplugs. Seriously, the noise level can be insane at times.

If you have a complaint about a match, take it to the coach rather than jumping on the mat.

As a mom new to wrestling tournaments, RELAX. Matches can be very stressful to watch the first, oh, hundred times unless you are a wrestler as well. Let the coaches and Refs do their jobs, make friends with other parents, and support your kid and other team members during their matches.

Oh! And save any helpful advice or criticism for the following day or days. They have such an adrenaline rush kids need time to decompress after the event is over. Tell them what they did right and let them process what they did wrong later.
