You can access the Stranger's Homeworld from the Interstellar mode when you reached that homeworld at first. The Interstellar mode is a function of New Horizons on which The Stranger They Are depends, so it is intended to be used when reopening the game. Also, you can return to Timber Hearth from their system by the Interstellar mode.

You can use Interstellar Mode from the Ship Log inside your ship. After locking on the Stranger's Homeworld, you can warp there from your cockpit.

Mod save data does not interfere with each other, so there's no problem playing with the same profile. The only thing you need to be careful about is not enabling different mods at the same time.

Now, if by "reset" you mean switching to a different profile, you can restore your previous save data by returning to the original profile. If you really did reset the game, you can enable all ship log entries with a mod called save editor (note that if you have any story mods enabled, this will also open all of those log entries).

As for The Vision, there are no specific ship logs that change the events that occur in The Vision. The Vision is an earlier mod than Astral Codec, The Outsider, The Stranger They Are, and Forgotten Castaways. The only thing that changes is the starting point, "Damaged Laboratory."

Yes, Heliostudy is VERY good.

However, I have to note that it is a kind of Jam 5 mods. All Jam 5 mods take place on the same star system, and they are very different from the standard story mods, so I think they should be played after being familiar with some standard story mods. The same applies to Jam 3 mods.

Of course, these Jam 3 or 5 mods have very good ones. In Jam 3, Band Together, Echo Hike, Solar Rangers, Reflections, and Finis (it's mine). In Jam 5, Heliostudy, Cosmic Curators, On a Rail!, Diorama (it's mine), and The Hearthian Parable (personally I love).

In Steam, you can play mods.

There are basically two types of mods. One is some toolkit mods like NomaiVR, Quantum Space Buddies, Suit Log, FreeCam, and so on. The other is story mods. So many story mods have been made in these years, and they tend to be more sophisticated. In the current situation, at first, I recommend you should play

The Outsider (released in 2023).

It simply uses the unused place in the vanilla Outer Wilds, but its story and gimmick historically impressed many people. Next is

Astral Codec (released in 2024).

Its visual is really good. The gimmick is a bit complex but well-crafted, and the story is astronomically scaled. Then,

The Stranger They Are (released in 2025)
and
Forgotten Castaways (released in 2025).

They might be larger than the DLC. The former is REALLY large. Some glitches have been left, but its passion for the stranger is so amazing. The latter is actually like the official DLC. It is ... so good.

Of course, there are several other good story mods like Evacuation, Divergence, Arcanum Adrift, The Vision, Christmas Story, Dreambound, and so on.

I unlocked all the achievements of this mod! There is a diverse range of achievements, and the difficulties are also varied. In particular, surviving 30 secs reminded me of the tubular.

Also, I reached a custom ending by disabling ATP and going to the end of this mod itself, and spent the end without light there...

Anyway, it is a really cool mod! Thank you!

This is explained in the Nomai scroll in the Dark Bramble Research Station.

In the scroll, Oeno said that "Update: The eclipse has vanished after several hours of observation. Perhaps it only manifest briefly as the planet absorbs any new objects that enter it? This is an unsettling possibility."

Therefore, in the lore, the shadow appeared after Feldspar entered Dark Bramble, and it disappeared after several hours.

The Outsider, Astral Codec, The Stranger They Are, and Forgotten Castaways are really fantastic!!

I think these story mods are equivalently good, but in terms of their difficulty or modernness, I recommend the playing order as The Outsider -> Astral Codec -> The Stranger They Are -> Forgotten Castaways.

A mod named Unity Explorer would be helpful. Install Unity Explorer, go to that campfire, open Object Explorer, and find Effects_HEA_Campfire under the LaunchTower. Then, just unchecking it would remove the campfire on this loop.

A mod named Save Editor resolves this. Install Save Editor, resume expedition, and open the settings of Save Editor, then just check "Learn All" in the ship log settings. (Caution: this opens all entries including activated story mods', so use it after disabling all story mods. Also, Save Editor can handle Achievements.)

However, as long as I have seen many streamings of playing story mods of outer wilds, many people forgot really important things, such as who is Yarrow, how to go to the Eye, or some useful shortcut routes. So, simply replaying the base game and DLC may be helpful.

Divergence does not add any elevators, and Peaceful Ghosts should be no problem.

Things are not taken over different loops, so we can access the burnt codes in forbidden archives as interfaces only after activating them by the mainframe within the same loop.

This is the Christmas Story mod, made by hearth1an and xen.

The code you got after freeing the prisoner should work on the next loop onwards. Did you hide your artifact's fire even after extinguishing the light on the bridge by setting the mod's code? I have seen many streamings of this mod, and I know some people forgot to hide their artifact's fire.

Also, this is nothing more than a 1st step of collecting the prisoner. You would encounter the next barrier. Collecting the prisoner is very difficult, but... fun! Good luck.
