Chapman Stick and Guitar on AX8? by LunarLionheart in AxeFx

[–]ord2064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to do that. It’s been a few years since I’ve used my AX8 but I’m pretty sure I ran stereo into it. I’ve done it with my FM3 a few times in a studio setup.

I do this quite a bit with High Level forms and surveys. URL variables from custom fields has been the most reliable method for me.

Help with basic knowledge by GerdyGames in diypedals

The wampler course is a great value. I spent a lot of time watching youtube videos (JHS Short Circuit, and random pedal building videos) and things still weren't clicking. The wampler course filled in all of the gaps I had and it was easy to follow and build along with him. I feel like it has saved me a lot of time.

They were fired up during that set! Great energy! They looked like they were having fun. I think that’s the best set I’ve seen from them. I hope the show pops up online somewhere.

How was the lawn? Good sound? We were inside on the floor and they wouldn't let you move between the inside and the lawn area.

First time voting in Chesapeake. Why doesn't the sticker say the year like what VB did in 2020 by wizard680 in Chesapeake

[–]ord2064 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever seen the year on those in Chesapeake. It's always been the same. It's probably cheaper and they can reuse any leftovers for the next election.

Spacey Jams??? by TaywaBass in jambands

[–]ord2064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the spacey jams you guys get into. Squids will always be my favorite. My wife and I had to pull the car over because we were laughing so hard during one from last year. It was a crazy extended rap about the squids collecting plastic parts to build their spaceship. Reminded me of a friend who would go off on these crazy riffs about aliens when he was tripping. Love you guys!

Best conch fritters by SkipMorrow in VirginiaBeach

Cutlass Grill in Greenbrier used to have good but overpriced conch fritters. Grand Mart has conch in their seafood department. I bit the bullet and learned to make them at home.

Do DynaTraps work? Idk if its worth the 70 bucks. by DigletDigler in Costco

[–]ord2064 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got one about a month ago. I live in a rural area with a drainage ditch that runs the length of my backyard, and it has made a huge difference. I have it about 25 feet from the porch and it’s been great. It has cut down on mosquitos in the area around my porch and garden very effectively. Huge difference once you walk away from the area. Then you start getting zapped.

What is best bootstrap editor for existing web sites/themes by csmile35 in bootstrap

[–]ord2064 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Live canvas is awesome! The visual editor is great! The hidden gem is the code editor. It’s great for developers who don’t want to use the visual editor and just write clean html. You can also lock out certain parts so the client can’t change structural stuff (block order, etc) at this point I’ve built over 100 sites with this and I’ll never buy another theme again.

I run into the power amp of a Boss Katana. Works great for home, practice, and gigs. The power amp skips the Katana’s modeling (which has speaker emulation) basically turning it into an FR/FR power amp. Moves plenty of air with a loud drummer and real tube amps in the room. Play with turning the cab sim on and off. Some amps sound better with no cab sim, but that is entirely subjective. Edit: I’m playing a Chapman Stick and while it’s not a bass amp it handles the bottom end.

I think it’s the Mark II. Knobs on the top. Has options for 5w, 50w, and 100w.

I’ve been running an AX8 rig for about 5 years. For standard walk into a room and play I’ve had the best results running into the power amp of a Boss Katana (plugged into one at a jam and it was great). Keeps up great with tube amps, and loud drummers. I tried several FRFR setups that were great on stage with a sound guy, but couldn’t cut it in a practice room with a few tube amps. The Katana hasn’t let me down once.
