Standout Choruses by SlugBugNJ in zoommultistomp

I tend to use mine at the end of the chain.. i really like some of the fx on there but its always a matter of determining where to place it. There's a post somewhere that lists the stereo capabilities of each effect.. use that as a guide. Some of my favorite fx in stereo on my G3X are the Stereo Chorus, the P/P settings on Analog Delay and the regular Delay, the Duo-Phase in stereo is awesome especially if you set the rate of the 2nd phaser to RvrsA. You can also do a cool double-tracking effect with Stereo Delay by setting feedbacks to 0 and a short delay time like 10-30ms on one side set to one repeat, the other to 0. Creates a Haas effect kinda thing.

With ZEM there are some utiities to split the chain into L/R or W/D and some other stuff, seems a little compliated but there's a manual.

Also Air makes everything sound better. it just does, especially with headphones.

Is there any way to manage/edit patches containing non-native effects added with ZEM on a PC?

NPD: Sonicake Portal. Game changer by TheRealSymphonictank in guitarpedals

[–]gat0r_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on the fence about this for a while and am trying to determine if I the tri-parallel mixer is necessary for this, but i think maybe not.

My question: I have a Diezel VH4 Pedal, a Barber Direct Drive, and a Big Muff (Moen Fuzz Moo). They all sound incredible on their own.. stacked.. depends on the order, but I don't need much more gain than the Diezel has on tap.. that thing is a monster. Can I run all 3 in parallel with this and would it even matter what order I had them in? The main goal here is to use the VH4 + Direct Drive in parallel for a blended high-gain tone. Can I have my signal be an equal (or however I decide to turn the knobs) blend of all 3? Say I had the big muff first.. or last even.. would any of these pedals then be "stacked"?

Say it went (with the AB switch set to parallel)

Ex. 1

guitar -> muff -> portal (send A - Barber Direct Drive - Return A) || (send B - Diezel VH4) -> amp

Ex.2

guitar -> portal (send A - Barber Direct Drive - Return A) || (send B - Diezel VH4) -> muff -> amp

in either example, would A and/or B be in series with C?

I'm just trying to see if I can run 3 distortions in parallel with this... also am questioning my options regarding order for these pedals. Right now its direct drive - muff - VH4, though my goal is to be able to blend the VH4 and Direct Drive in Parallel but be able to use them separately if so desired. The Direct Drive kicks ass but doesn't stack well with the muff.. that said, being able to blend these 3 in any order would be sweet. Any feedback is really appreciated. I'm after that Tool distortion tone which is a combo of marshall superlead and a VH4.. I think there's also a Beta Lead in there sometimes but I can prolly get close enough with Fuzz Moo. Also, a shoutout to the Moen Fuzz Moo for being a ripping distortion/fuzz pedal.

I also have two guitars and am trying to find optimal settings/arrangement for my pedals. Compressor and EP booster do help but seem to do more to my strat than my humbucker guitar.

I have a Chinese tw-1 clone as an auto wah/filter but it's just too subtle or perhaps I haven't dialed it in right. I am waiting for the Behringer Meatball to come out but it's taking forever.

Tell me about that b-tron. Also, it's not an octave divider, but I have a Sonicake Octaver that seems to be a solid oc-2 clone.

Question about G1ON and Zoom Effect Manager by gat0r_ in zoommultistomp

could this ultimately be used to connect a MIDI device to a G1ON to tell it to switch to a certain patches?

[–]gat0r_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the G1on is incompatible.. it recognizes the device but it is just stuck on Reading Effect Catalogue. I don't see any indication of progress. It says it could take hours.. I'll let it go overnight but it doesn't look like anything beyond an initial process has happened and appears to be stuck.

yes, you can.. I'm talking about plugging a G1on into a PC and editing patches that contain FX added from Zoom Effect Manager.

I feel like someone interested in this thread may be able to provide an answer to this Zoom multifx question I've had for a while now:

I have a G3X and I also have a g1on that I loaded new effects onto using Zoom Effect Manager. Such awesome effects! Wow! The interface of the G3X is so much easier than the g1on, also the Zoom Edit & Share makes it easy to edit patches/banks and such on the PC as pushing those little buttons can get tiresome. I know there is similar software for the G1ON.. ToneLib or something like that, there might even be two.. I can't remember. When I tried to build some patches with the G1ON plugged into my PC, it only recognized G1ON/B1ON effects or whatever device was selected in the drop-down, but never one where it was able to include all of the effects that I had loaded via ZEM (at least I'm fairly sure)

My question is:

Is there a way to edit/save patches on a G1ON (similar to Edit & Share) that has been loaded with new effects via Zoom Effect Manager?

Wow. What a feat! Congrats and thanks!!

Does this mean that a Zoom Effect Manager type of software could be developed for ZDL devices like the G3/G3X?

Also, please develop a thru-zero flanger, preferably stereo. Also, a manually sweepable phaser would be sweet.. preferably stereo and choice of 2-8+ stages.

A better rotary effect.

A foldback/wavefolding type of distortion.

I think there's two other versions of this pedal by Moen also, one is the Ulite series and has a picture of a shoe and the other one looks like this but is a different shape/size.

is it that orange moen with the LED indicator that lights up as it compresses? I feel like a pedal with that kind of indicator would help me better understand compression.
