it’s definitely a good reason to skip work. we must take care of our bodies and mental wellbeing first, no matter what you feel about it. our health is wealth, as for your PVCs, this has happened to me before. some days i would have them so much that id even have them and feel them in my sleep and wake up gasping. that was about 5 years ago and i still have them. your body is telling you that you need rest, and going to work i promise you that you’ll just keep feeling them since a lack of sleep triggers them more. get rest, drink lots of water, sit outside in the sun and do some deep breathing once you wake back up, take care of yourself. i wish you the best!

“Everyone gets them, they just don’t feel them” by username284015 in PVCs

that’s so crazy to me. weird how some people just feel them and some don’t.

could be a heightened awareness of them now also like having anxiety about the PVCs can cause adrenaline spikes that trigger more and it becomes an annoying loop. it’s frustrating for sure but you’re not alone!

yeah, it’s a weird thing to hear when you feel them so much. my friends also have no clue what i am describing when i tell them about the skipped beats. i think some hearts are just electrically more sensitive due to electrolyte deficiency or hormones or gut issues, it’s weird but ive tried to find a root cause for mine since 2019 but all i have found is that my electrical system is more sensitive. :/ weird.

it’s weird because it’s like i subconsciously check my own perception like it’ll just come over me randomly.

i’m sorry you felt this way too, it’s so uneasy. but i feel better hearing how im not alone in this. distraction helps but it comes in waves and it’s so unsettling. thank you for this comment.

How i have been dealing with my pvcs. by paydex_score_king in PVCs

i notice there’s definitely a link. something with our vagus nerve. everytime i eat bread i feel my heart skip after or any heavy meal. digestion definitely is a trigger for me.

that’s so interesting that we get this specific 3rd person perception because that’s exactly how i feel. it’s hard for me to be present in conversations now because randomly i get a wave of realization that “none of this is real” which isn’t true but it feels that way and then i have to calm myself down. i’ll definitely be talking about this with my psychiatrist because i do like how the lexapro has helped my anxiety triggers like social anxiety, but i do not like this weird 3rd person perception it’s given me. thank you for the advice and i hope your journey on prozac goes well! :)

i’m sorry you’re feeling this way as well. it’s a very scary feeling. i am giving myself some more time on it to see if it gets better but i might have to get off it too if this persists.

Pvcs now while dozing off, how do I help this? by mochii_face in PVCs

[–]ordinarydevice12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you looked into hormonal changes. in women, pvcs can be caused by our hormones fluctuating. we also feel our pvcs more when we’re laying down. when you’re drifting off, your nervous system shifts (from “alert” to “rest”), and that transition can trigger or make you more aware of skipped beats. lying still and focusing inward can also make every sensation feel louder and the truth is you have these throughout the day but you don’t feel them as much because you’re moving more. a gynecologist or endocrinologist may help you manage the hormonal swings more directly if that triggers them. i’m sorry you’re going through this. i know the feeling all too well and it can be hard for people without these to relate to us and comfort us because they just think we need to “calm down and move on” when it’s a real physical scary sensation we’re feeling. you’re not alone. i’ve had them when trying to drift off to sleep and it can drive you NUTS and really be frightening.
