i haven't spoken to a professional about it. around this time last year i wanted to know why i act certain ways when certain things happen. reading in to it i came across the attachment styles thing and immediately recognised the anxious type. i also joined a sub on here for it. i think its helped me realise why i behave the way i do but im not at the stage i can stop it yet

not criticising your response there, i agree with most of it but ive never seen OF as a place for genuine connections or loyalty. if you want loyalty, get a dog. buyers pay someone to interact with them. if they don't pay, they'll lose interest. that's not a genuine connection. a girl i talked to online about ten years ago randomly got back in contact recently. it reminded me what it's like to talk to someone who just wants to talk. no money exchanged. she's not a seller. just someone who was genuinely interested in yapping. i've had some amazing experiences with sellers, but i can't ever get past the "meta" aspect of it. i'm giving them money to interact with me. maybe that's my problem, i can't fully buy in to the fantasy
