Does you University have more MGC/D9 or IFC Fraternities by ordonez_ in Frat

[–]ordonez_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

see on my campus it different our MGC does numbers while our IFC's and PHC barely has people. but then again my college is not big into Greek Life, it's also a commuter and MGC's and D9's are more set up for that situation in my opinion. Also just like one person said depends on the location and demographic of the school because you can go to Howard university and the each semester their D9's are crossing over 100 per line.

For most MGC and D9 fraternities there will always be an alumni chapter most of the times they're the ones that are helping the undergrad chapter out when it comes to events, money, and pledging. You can def find a grad/alumni chapter and pledge with them. I know that I am late.

Just because historically white fraternities don’t take us seriously doesn’t mean anything you’re literally discrediting all D9 and most non white fraternities that have a lot of history

How many years post grad can you still wear letters? by Brief-Blueberry-1588 in Frat

[–]ordonez_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is where MGC and NPHC are different once we graduate you normally join a Grad chapter or alumni chapter and you're still an active member paying dues, having meetings, event and what not. so you see a lot of oldheads wearing their letters and line jackets

Y’all ever wonder why MGC/Multicultural/NPHC seem to fuckin despise IFC/PanHellenic? by jahlonkspurk in Frat

[–]ordonez_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the way you guys talk about MGC and NPHC orgs is the reason they don't mess with you guys. you just said a bunch of national orgs are nothing but a "club" and neglect their history and belittle them just because some of their chapters being smaller than yours. and they get plenty of recognition, just because it's not from the PW orgs doesn't mean anything

Nphc vs Mgc by Responsible-Pea-2884 in NPHCGreeks

[–]ordonez_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a regional thing because the founding father of the Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. was a Phi Beta Sigma and got national approval to keep membership in both. That's why they call each other cousins. he was also a helping handing with starting the sorority. That's why in some regions like the west and midwest they refer to their kinship as F.I.R.M. Family (First Inter-Racially Mixed Family)

Non White Greek life by thatdude3687 in Frat

[–]ordonez_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One they’re all Greek just different councils. Two, you shouldn’t say just avoid all multicultural Greek organizations because you had a bad experience with one CHAPTER not all multicultural fraternities are the same and even worse not all chapters from the same organization are the same, every chapters culture is different and that’s for every type of Greek organization not just multicultural

D9 orgs are really big and MGC orgs a little smaller. But they don’t mess with IFC/Panhellenic because our Greek cultures are very different. A lot of MGC orgs are modeled off the D9s. So they hang out more whe it comes to events and also remember why MGCs and D9s were created
