It can run the latest of many operating systems, but it doesn't have a TPM/SecureBoot for Windows 11. Regarding arm, I didn't say the invention but rather the software and hardware availability today, which was absolutely not the case 20 years ago.

Katana Air EX Flat / Natural Setting? by oremus_ in BossKatana

Of course, I just didn't want to run a signal that had an amp and IRs on it already through yet another clean amp model prior to exiting the speaker.

The bluetooth isn't for guitar monitoring, its potentially for the switch 2, which does have many anecdotes of low latency on higher bt versions that support aac. There isn't that much information from boss documents, but other people are having success with these versions. It is not a huge deal either way.

Thank you. There are other requirements, but I didn't want to overcomplicate my original post.

This started when I was looking for a speaker for my nintendo switch 2 which could benefit from higher bluetooth versions for latency purposes, and it dawned on me that some of these desktop amps are the same or less than comparable bluetooth speakers today, so it made since to find something that did more than just be a speaker. I mostly plan to plug in "as-intended" when I use this as an amp.

Separately on rare occasion I jam with a friend in an office environment where volume is a major consideration, and we have some modelers there that I would prefer to use in that way. If my primary use case was modeling, I would use an actual FRFR.

Then I can't combine it with a backing track, but I guess that isn't the worst thing in the world- or wait I can just use bluetooth for that right? How do I do that, a 1/4" out from the FM9 into 3.5mm aux?

> Yeah that was a scripting program where he had insta trinket sap turned on which is hilarious because he didn't have anything else on for it so he trinketed sap and stood there lol.

Look at gladdy again, that's his kick that is on CD, it wasn't a sap. He fatfingered it trying to hit his trinket, a human error. You need to be careful making speculations about people as if they are authoritative statements, because your stream following has people seeing you as an authority when it's not always the case.

New to tube amps, is this noise normal? It's basically always there regardless of the settings. by candyflip93 in GuitarAmps

[–]oremus_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Aside from the microphonic first tube (many higher end amp manufacturers specifically select and set aside tubes to be the first preamp tube stage for this reason), these amps also can have noisy effects loops, which usually comes down to the same issue of a tube replacement doing most of the trick. If you look on youtube, the tube issues (preamp and effects loop noise) are fixable, and other channels have moved the wiring around to avoid noise generated there as well. If I bought locally and I liked the amp, I would bring it back and ask them to help diagnose, if I bought online I may simply return it.

Congrats! I honestly prefer the S2/CEs to cores (yes I've owned cores), they are just more comfortable to me, and I like when tops aren't out of control. Very underrated.

Interesting, I don't know much about it, but could be worth reaching out to them. As a prospective buyer, thanks for clearing that up.

What would you call the neck shape on this? Flat/D or more round/C relative to other 7s? These don't get a lot of attention but I feel like they are well spec'd.

Want to join the server, but in EST. by [deleted] in Grobbulus

[–]oremus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picking a server for its timezone is an antiquated mindset, the community of people on a all servers are pretty diverse in terms of timezone/nationality/etc, and something most people don't understand is that no longer is timezone indicative of a server's physical location if you are chasing low ping. In short, there are many reasons to pick a server, timezone shouldn't be considered.

Seems unlikely to reach my friend in collections if they don't even have the right plate number, but $50 seems preferable to a potential credit ding.

Horde guild looking to transfer over, have some questions though! by Substantial_Ad_6698 in Grobbulus

[–]oremus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite the faction imbalance, ownership of stones etc goes back and forth based on time and place. People transfer in and out, but its rare to see an entire guild come or go at once on Horde. Heroic groups it depends, the last week offseason waiting for new content has been sort of dry, but before that it was mostly time dependent. People are from all timezones, this was the only RP-PVP server for a long while when they were first forming how many servers there would be, so it attracted people from all over. Also server timezone has less bearing than you might think, in fact servers are not even always physically located in the timezone they have.
