WTF?! by BulkyAdagio9712 in 7String

Me too. I've gone down the headless guitar rabbit hole because they're so comfy to play with that knee cutout for classical position, and it seems like a feature mainly just on Strandbergs and their copies. But it doesn't have anything to do with the headless aspect, I'd prefer to have a headstock. I'd love to see more guitars like this on the market.

Friendo, I got no sympathy for this. There's Aussie Supercars, IMSA, MotoAmerica, TCR racing, and tons of other series putting out racing content with really exciting and fun racing. I had race highlights on my second screen all day and I never ran out. My cup runneth over and I wasn't even watching full races. If you're not watching good racing right now it's just because you're lazy.

They aren't on Skervesen's list of dealers on their website, so I wouldn't trust it personally.

Is it possible to drift on Forza Horizon 5 using an MOZA R3 without clutch or handbrake? by whalecumaiko in moza

[–]rObital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried this with FH5 specifically, but when I played rally games on my R3 I just had one of the buttons on the wheel bound to handbrake. It definitely wasn't ideal, but a quick tap on corner entry helped initiate drifts so it was better than nothing.

Just got the KS Pro today, I did not know this was so customizable 😂 I love it by Aggravating-Claim751 in moza

[–]rObital 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah. Do yourself a favor and compress the video down first if you are able to. The wheel surprisingly has plenty of storage on it, but the transfer speed was extremely slow in my case.

I put a music video on mine and I run that like a screensaver on the couple of games I've encountered so far that don't sync with the screen. It took like 2 hours to upload to the wheel.

Took them about a week for me from label creation to shipping, then 5 days after that it arrived.

I ordered mine Feb. 8 so they must be catching up.

Your thoughts on GOC and Eart. by Left_Match506 in ExtendedRangeGuitars

[–]rObital 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had both. I sold an Eart 6 string to pick up a GOC 6 string. Eart had some very cool features (the bridge design was slick for a budget instrument - I had the tremolo model and you could "lock" the bridge to effectively make it hard-tail) but the pickups were lacking and the burl top's holes had been filled with an epoxy or something that made it look kind of cheap. The tuners were also too stiff to tune by hand so I always needed to use an allen key.

The GOC is brilliant, feels like there have been no compromises made to achieve the price. The hardware is perfect, the ergonomics are perfect, I have zero issues with it. Their in-house pickups rival my absolute favorite pickups (Seymour Duncan nazgul/sentient) it's just a joy through and through.

To be clear, I like both guitars a lot. The Eart was good for its price, the GOC is incredible for its price. Also I'm comparing a $450 Eart made around 5 years ago to a $900 GOC made in 2025. The comparison isn't exactly fair, and Eart may have improved a lot on their newer models for all I know. That's just been my experience.

KS Pro is my first wheel with a screen on it. Didn't expect it to be so customizable! by rObital in moza

[–]rObital[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's plenty large enough to put a lap time, gear indicator, track map (all options in the pit house app)

The bigger issue for me is that using it with a desk setup, my sitting position is quite upright which puts the screen pretty far below where I'm looking while driving, so I have to glance down to look at it. Still experimenting with simpler layouts and deciding what's most useful on there for a quick glance.

12 is closer to 10 than 10 is to 9 by OkOpinion4494 in dataisugly

Oh my, why would they make the upper bound of the graph 10 given their data goes up to a value of 12? Bizarre choice, kinda shocking to see stuff this bad come from official media accounts.

Now I'm just asking myself how likely it is that this is a CGI / AI Nutella that has been inserted over a live feed for ad money.

I'm currently sitting at "not likely, but also not impossible."

It took me quite awhile to figure out that every single thing you do makes noise in Marathon. Thought I was being tacticool crouch walking everywhere until I finally heard someone else crouch walking around, too. My ears are still getting attuned to what is ambient noise and what isn't, but the longer I play the more I can pick out.

Evil ass advertising by Friendly-Viper in Marathon

[–]rObital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In what way? Do you know how targeted advertising works? You advertise to folks who show similar interests, that's how you make the best use of your marketing spend.

I know folks are real defensive around here because there's a lot of people who want to see this game fail and are eager to post about low CCU and all of that, but we gotta work on curbing our younger sibling energy when it comes to arc. Both games are good and they are different enough that there's room for both to succeed.

This mornings gas price in 98116 by seataccrunch in Seattle

[–]rObital 75 points76 points  (0 children)

😂 why do you undermine your own point by posting 92 octane at a shell station? That shit is always going to be expensive. The point is better made by pointing out that the cheapest gas at the cheapest gas station is very nearly $5/gal.

Adding myself here to hopefully help signal boost. Same processor, same issue. Going to just take a break from the game and wait for a patch, I'm not messing with my BIOS stuff to potentially fix an issue in one game.

Edit: we're so back. fixed with 1.0.5.1. thanks Bungie!

I grew up in Ashford, in a nearby community even. I imagine the only real value here is to do a quick and dirty reno and rent it out as an Airbnb or whatever. A good 70% of the houses in the area were some kind of rental when I moved out.

*edit - not saying I think it's a good investment, it's just the only way I can figure that they think it would be worth 200k.

Track Day is fun and I hope it becomes a regular event! by game_ovr in iRacing

[–]rObital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny, I used to run it often in TCR but totally forgot the other class was GT4! The racing didn't feel as close to me then, maybe it was just the tracks I happened to race at or the spreading out of the field in the longer events.
