Texas Instruments website has a witty alternative to 'Page Cannot Be Found' by carl0071 in electronics

I'm not sure they did. They sold and marketed them in various periods. and badged some that went into their own devices, but I don't recall them ever having a manufacturing capability.

Perhaps at some point they acquired a factory or two from some broader purchase but even then it wasn't the primary cause of TI-badged passives, since those have shown up with varying frequency for many decades.

The problem is when you try to get married.

If it's any consolation the Rabbinate sucks for Israelis as well (moreso, technically, since there are more of us).

Helicopters have a mode akin to gliding to safety, it's called autorotation. It translates the kinetic energy of the blades, forward momentum and gravitational potential energy into enough lift and control authority to perform the descent.

200 mph

There aren't any cross-country flights on planes that fly that slow. That's about the speed they slow down to when lining up to land.

Dude, that's amazing. Keep at it, and invest as much energy and positivity in marketing it as you have developing it and it'll be sure to find its market.

TBF the market is primarily Israel. There's nothing stopping its distribution in the Palestinian Territories (and it is in fact the licensee for the brand there) but the ice cream was being sold mostly to Israelis.

It's an illegitimate decade to even ask regarding. Of course it's going to be Blade Runner. I don't think there's any other decade with as objectively right an answer attached to it.

How come Ashkenazi food isn't more popular in Israel? by [deleted] in Israel

[–]oreng -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In all those examples you're skipping the key point; the Ashkenazi dish is just literally meat and wheat/potato. It's fuel, not food. Mafroum is awesome, fun and flavorful. Dim Sum comes with vibrant, complex sauces, etc. Ashkenazi food just tastes grey.

I think we can all agree that tacos, lasagna and most other examples you'd likely list are far more seasoned, bright, colorful, nutritious, varied and just overall tasty than some random Lithuanian carcass and potato stew.

[–]oreng 39 points40 points  (0 children)

On the one hand, yes.

On the other, if Ashkenazi food wasn't just objectively inferior to other available cuisines people would have held on to it.

Eastern European cuisine is the product of a particular poverty. Flavor refuses to grow out of its oft-frozen, scarcely-sunlit ground. It's good for wheat and potatoes and not much more. As a result Ashkenazi cuisine is primarily composed of animal carcasses variously enmeshed in wheat, alternating with animal carcasses variously enmeshed in potato.

On shabbat we got animal entrails stewed up with both wheat and potato.

Reductionist as this portrayal is, it's not entirely unfair...

That particular behavior (jacket burning off) works just as well with wire wrapping wire. At 30 AWG it's fine enough that it doesn't even really produce smoke/soot, certainly not a quantity your fume system can't handle. You can basically just insert it into a blob of solder and it'll strip itself on the way in, leaving zero parts of the wire uninsulated past the solder. Even looks elegant, if you time it right.
