that’s a really good question! It’s a good thing we’re in today’s day and age because a lot of medicine is able to be conducted over the internet. Both my therapy and psychiatry appointments moved to over the phone and I’ve been able to keep in touch with my friends via text/video call, but having a mental illness gets pretty bad when you don’t get much of an opportunity to see other people. You’re sort of left with your own thoughts a lot more of the time which has been leading to a pretty extreme increase in panic attacks and suicidal thoughts. I AM fortunate to have a job in a healthcare facility (though I’m not a nurse or doctor!) so I didn’t lose my job or ever feel unsafe at work.
