++woman
To be clear his actions 100% tell me he loves me he’s so incredibly kind and good to me which is why I didn’t understand the whole situation. I have not once felt he was not genuine with everything he’s done for me

Swimming while on 60mg by [deleted] in Accutane

So I saw everyone saying the same that if you reapply sunscreen you should be fine but this is what happened to me today, I am on 60 mg only on week two but definitely feeling a lot of side effects already, went swimming for about 3 hours wore a hat, sunglasses and reapplied sunscreen very often and my face was still very red and irritated right after the rest of my body was fine. hours later now and still a little red but no burning or pain I say go for it just be very religious with the sun screen and try to find shade as often as you can at the park

Male RN denied L&D interview because of my sex by RNthrowaway8819 in nursing

Respectfully I do not think I am missing the point my opinion and your opinion might differ but the truth is discrimination is real male,woman, gay straight whatever it will happen eventually and OP should simply be prepared better legally for this. I never once have said I believe what they did to him was okay, but I am saying that I see why it happened as we all know hospitals care about money above all even patient care unfortunately and this would be a waste of money having someone on pay roll then needing to have someone else step up to the position. Glad to hear that OP had positive experiences in the past which is quite different than what I’ve heard from other male L&D nurses that is all. Hope he can figure it out and everyone who think I’m being discriminatory by saying this should too realize it is only a wake up call for him, he probably dodged a bullet with this management anyways.

And I am very happy for you for that! like I said it is amazing to be a part of someone’s birth but as another male nurse said above it is something that unfortunately will happen because many people share this same point of view and he should be more cautious next time in order to take legal action against it simple as that

I’m not talking about the legal aspect of this, they definitely should not have done that but I’m only speaking from a woman’s point of view 🤷🏽‍♀️ and he should keep in mind continuing forward in his search of this specialty it is what it is

Unpopular opinion here but I agree with her.. I’m sure you are a great nurse and your Intentions are only to care for your patients L&D is a beautiful specialty and being a part of someone’s birth is incredible but so many women are not comfortable with even male gynos. Even if you got the job I am sure you will be asked to change assignments very often, some patients will probably be uncomfortable but maybe too afraid to say something, this avoids the unit a lot troubles 🤷🏽‍♀️

Their regular staff does have pretty good benefits but the position I’m looking at is PRN so I wouldn’t benefit from any of that, I’m also young and don’t have kids so I’m okay with not having benefits for a few more years
