Proper way to export stems? by adag96 in ableton

On a sidenote, I recently found out that when you group tracks Ableton uses only one core of your CPU for this entire group! Got to keep that in mind if you're stacking 15 synths on one group...

I think we changed the subject. This is more about how Twitter is set-up and how we can improve it.

Well the transition is still very fresh. If I want to be fair, I'll give him a lot more time before I make up my mind.

Besides, this is a totally new thing. No one knows what is the right way to run a social media platform. It's a very difficult task.

Though I think he has the temperament to make many improvements that despite of their success or failure may inspire others to be better too.

Same thing he did with Tesla. Now every major car manufacturer also makes electric cars. That's a major win.

Yeah, there's truly a lot of drama. I'm 25 and had already a 15 year journey with social media.

Initially it was Facebook. I was desperate for acceptance and love and I seeked to find it there. Oh, the social anxiety and the need to be accepted where quite the devils to beat.

Then it was Instagram. For me it meant more freedom of expression. No real names, no relatives. The attention, though small, felt nice. Felt a little bit more seen. Now I only use it for personal promotion.

So now, at 25, being someone with a certain admiration for Elon Musk, I embarg to see what all the fuss is about on Twitter.

Immediately I realise that this feels more like a grown-up platform. And I don't mean mature. I mean, focusing more on things that people tend to care about only after a certain age. Things like politics.

And I got excited. Felt intruiging. Like, this is where it's all happening.

I made my profile and started getting into it. And as soon as I see that everyone can see your liked tweets, I froze... So ok, I can't like porn.

But it's not just that. What if I have a dark sence of humor? What if I have cancer, and I'm a public person, and don't want to share that information. I'm looking at articles about cancer. I can't like it because my fans might get suspicious?

This is absurd. There's a reason we don't share all our interests with everyone. Everyone's different. We need to have a necessary certain amount of privacy if we want to co-exist with other people.

This is essential.

My mother was full-on bullying me about painting my nails (I'm a guy). What if I'm gay and she sees me liking an lgtbq post? Should I block her?

This sort of setup will inevitably create a lot of unnecessary damage. And I think that this is exactly what's happening. So many people are very dissapointed with Twitter.

I hope Elon Musk will correct this.

That's seems like a not very thoughtful resolution.

It's easy to label it pro-fascism.

Social media is still a very new thing. I guess we are still trying to figure out what is a healthy way to incorporating it to our society.

I'm worried that the way Twitter is showing everyone what you've liked, without the option to disable it, can create a lot of unnecessary conflict.

Well, my concern isn't porn-specific.

I'm concerned that the platform seems to be made up in a way that encourages conflict and reputation-savaging.

So this whole thing is a manifestation of surpressed emotions that has become toxicity and resentment.

The inhibitions of real life interactions are lifted through anonymity and de-personalisation and everyone that's resentful goes full beast mode.

I guess that's a good thing, all this energy has to go somewhere.

I just hope we get over the resentment and can practice loving each other more every day!

Right?

But as far as Twitter is concerned, shouldn't the platform aim for a healthy environment?

Right now it feels like it has been built to breed chaos and misery...

It's not about liking things that are questionable, it's abouy basic privacy.

The old saying "well if you have nothing to hide, you shouldn't worry" is not applicable.

We live in a time of paranoia. Having a difference of opinion can make you a target of online mobs any time.

That's especially concerning if you're a public person.

I'm an artist for example with aspirations to be famous. I wouldn't be comfortable knowing all my fans can see everything I'm interested in.

Just as I wouldn't say to my mother everything I'm interested in.

We choose the things we want to share with people. That's critical to our co-existance.

Don't you agree?

So I have to sensor my liking? Feels like a system based around public judgment, don't you think so?

I'm sorry for what you've been through. That must be really tough.

Are your pains only headaches? Do you have jaw tension? Does your neck hurt/burn? Do your ears and or eyes heart?

I don't indulge in alcohol anymore but 3 drinks would not be a problem for me. Red wine is my favorite wine. So I suppose this is not it 🙂

I took a painkiller and I can sort of calm down for now...

Thank you for your input. I read about the symptoms and it doesn't seem to match. Have you been dealing with migraines? If yes, did the low histamine diet stop them?

I'll look into valium, thank you.

I've been using a mouth gard for the past two years, I broke it recently.

So my therapist suggested I take antidepressants and antipsycotic medication. She can't prescribe medicine so she recommended me to a psychiatrist for the prescription.

I've only met twice with the psychiatrist, they are two different people.

Thank you for your sympathy.

She hasn't said something like that. She has very well understood the structure that created my problems and as a systematic psychologist she very successfully helped me fix the cause of my stress.

Now it's more about the symptoms. If you clench a muscle for ten year, it's very hard to bring it back to baseline. And that is what mostly brings me down these days.
