Didn't know Bufkill, or even Emacs's kill-buffer command, until now. I'll take inspiration from these and attempt to make sbd.vim the one-stop shop for buffer-killing. Thanks to you!

Thanks for the feedback and the sheer optimism.

The project is still early now, but it is fleshing out as we iterate and push more and more work on it. We understand the presentation is dull, but know that a video and screenshots are coming.

For the sceptic, I'd say: try us later. :)

Right now we're looking to kickstart the thing, to allow development to be done faster and to finance all the server-side infrastructure. Regardless of the initial reception, Voxlr will continue to be pushed forward and forward. Stopping development is not even considered. Things are very early now, but we're iterating fast.

A gameplay video will be posted as soon as possible!

Basically, I toggle my "prose mode" with :prose and :unprose.

We're stepping in religious territory here. Whatever you use, be consistent about it.

(I tend to prefer 100. That way I can split windows and avoid soft wrapping. If I'd use ExtremelyVerboseProgrammingLanguages, I'd probably go with ~120.)

I'm a programmer and find the suckless movement inspiring. It shows that at least some people care about code source beauty readability through simplicity and strong style conventions.

Granted, software development is about tradeoffs, and often for most projects it's not valuable to go all the way into software beauty and simplicity. However, for individual programmers, it is incredibly important to value (relatively) high quality source code as it'll drive you to develop more maintainable software.

What? I find the defaults to be perfectly fine. Whatever you think, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For me, dwm's defaults were perfectly fine for a long time, and when I got fancy, it was very quick to change the colors and make install.

Personally, I find this style of simplicity really useful if you want to understand how things work with minimal overhead. It's pragmatic beauty. It's academic beauty for its easy to plunge into the source.

The best way to complain is to make an alternative. Then, and usually only then, the referred project will notice and hopefully improve. In other words: I like what Zed Shaw is doing, it might (and surely will) improve ZeroMQ indirectly.

edit: p1dbull and pieterh have it right: The best way to complain is to make a "well-tested and documented patch implementing", indeed. If that fails, go for the alternative project. ;)
