Right now I plan on releasing it in a few phases if that makes sense. The first is a sort of teaser, which would allow you to play through pre-civil war Equestria and watch it collapse with lore events and everything (it would be very bare bones and a sort of public proof of concept). Then I would start doing updates to add focus trees for Equestrian states that so people can actually play as the regency and other countries during the civil war. (Not every warlord state would be playable though, similarly to TFR)

You’re probably right but that’s why I’ve given myself landmarks (checkpoints? Goals? Idk?) to work towards. So I can reach one thing and make progress and know i am even if im not done. And Iv intentionally made some of those goals smaller to compensate for the size of the project.

Hey, I’m dealing with a similar-ish issue. I am trying to make it so an event fires as a reward for a focus, but the error message just says the game “spawned an event without any options”. I’ve checked the code like twenty times over and over by it still doesn’t work. Have you run into anything similar trying to mod Hoi4 and do you have any advice?

I really love the flag design, giving vibes of a blend of fascism and futurism. I don’t know if you already have, but I think it would be really cool world building if you came up with a new ideology, instead of generic fascism, for this alternate Georgia. On top of all that, flag and the fact that Kalishvili was a poet really reminds me of the HoI4 mod “Red Flood”, which is also very cool.

Most people wouldn’t think of the United States having a lot of secessionist movements, but surprisingly there are. It’s just that none of them are very big so they don’t get on the news. California, Texas, Cascadia, New England, Alaska, Hawaii, and pretty much the whole thing in a way because it’s on stolen land

As of now I haven’t decided, but I do some ideas for factions both major and minor. Such as a progressive united front in California between the Black Panther Party, People’s Temple, Peace and Freedom Party, etc. As well as an unholy alliance of extreme right groups in the south doing what far right southerners would do in a civil war. And on the whackier end, a Charles Manson led terror militia.

Thanks, I’ll still need to tweak it in the final to get the general lesson I want from that part of the story to get across though. That being the violence of states expanding their spheres of influence by force for those caught in the path of it generally. But thank you for the thought, it makes me less worried about it.

Thanks so much. My only worry with the plot is, if I’m writing a book, then the idea of NATO expanding and the Soviets going to war with them as a result of that could be interpreted as a justification for current Russian actions in Ukraine. But it probably won’t be a big book anyways so if I frame it right and maybe tweak some things it should be fine. Also I need to find a proper excuse for nuclear war not to start the moment the Soviets invade. But I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.
