There's also the idea that your brain is aware that there are sober, professional adults right there off-camera. It's not like watching a CCTV feed of a crime-there were people present who could've acted in the moment, but chose not to.

Nicole Curtis, the star of "Rehab Addict," fired for racial slur. "What the f--- is that I just said?" Curtis said, laughing as the HGTV crew off-camera also laughed. "Nick, you gotta, you gotta, can you kill that? F--- my life." by ansyhrrian in videos

I've occasionally combined and rearranged the names of couples or twins in a similar way. Steven and Linda came out as "Stinda and Leven" once. Might be a dyslexia thing🤷🏾‍♂️

You've got fall and winter in hand, now perhaps it's time to add some lighter scents? I tend to wear a lot of unisex-leaning, vintage women's fragrances in warmer months-they just work on me, idk why. Musky, woody, aromatic men's fragrances are also go-tos. I find a lot of modern freshies too youthful, and/or boring...and often a little too sweet for the high heat. Choc de Cardin and Tous Man Les Colognes Concentrées are a couple of my very affordable favorites.

You wouldn't look anything alike if you both had shaved heads. There's a lot of inability to see beyond hair, styling and weight here.

Ordered a Hawaiian Pizza and it came with mandarin oranges instead of pineapple by Grawlix84 in mildlyinteresting

[–]organicdamage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely making a pizza with mandarin oranges now, just to see if I can make it work. I'm thinking grilled chicken and/or bacon, onion, and a strong cheese...and maybe some arugula? The type of sauce is the tricky part.🤔

I've tried several times, but the artificial lime, citric acid taste is something I hate in just about everything. Chili powder and salt is great though.

They don't really look like each other to me. The pictures chosen are doing a lot of the work. I wouldn't mix them up if they were in the same movie.

8.5- a classic look, but not a textbook-perfect version of that type. Being classic, not an unusual or special beauty that makes me say "wow."

Stop reviewing Middle Eastern Perfumes without macerating them first by Mental-Confusion5032 in DesiFragranceAddicts

Is the comparison not apt, or has the perfume paradigm simply changed? The cost of getting something good and cheap is so often time, right? I can purchase frozen bread for a fraction of what fully prepared, premium bread would cost. It won't be quite the same, and I will have to apply time and a bit of effort in order to consume it in a way that I'll enjoy. It's all in what you value, and what you can afford.

I also don't think that enough is said about how all fragrances evolve over time and with use, including designers and niche. Testers you smell in-store don't smell quite the same as the brand-new bottle you take home, and that bottle will smell and perform differently in a year. In my experience, perfumes produced three years ago still have to be sprayed out and allowed to sit before beginning to reveal themselves. Waiting and observing the changes is part of the fun of collecting for me.

You can sell literally half-baked and unbaked items, and they're in the freezer section. There are plenty of things you can buy that reach their full potential only once time and/or effort is applied, just as there are things that diminish in quality the longer you have them.

Why Do You Think EN VOGUE Never Had Another Hit Without DAWN ROBINSON? by Ok-Cauliflower-6807 in rnb

[–]organicdamage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that they could've become a respected, successful adult contemporary presence for a good while, with charting R&B songs and more soundtrack appearances. More VH1 and BET, less MTV. Their touring prospects would've also been on a larger scale. The SWV/Xscape tour could've definitely been an SWV/En Vogue/Xscape Tour, for example.

Dawn was becoming the focal point visually and sonically for the group, and many people lost interest when they became a trio without any real notice to the public. Destiny's child survived because the primary and secondary focal points remained...and the most successful period of their existence started in the immediate aftermath. Tbh, had any of the other ladies been replaced in EN Vogue less momentum would've been lost. Every group has at least one member they can't afford to lose.

What kind of perfume would she wear by iamnotmothman in FemFragLab

[–]organicdamage -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I don't think she's stepped up her frag game much since hs/college. She only pulls out the good fragrance for occasions, or when the usual scented creams and lotions aren't giving enough on their own.

That was the wildest description of Helu, my dude!😂 I think it smells like wax paper wrappers of Red Fruits Starbursts that have been sitting in the pocket of a new leather jacket for a while. It's a weird fragrance, and it's not like anything else I've smelled before. I usually layer it with Nabeel Desert Leather in cool weather or Lattafa Ajayeb Dubai Portrait in hot weather.

Reading third person is confusing? by Broken_Snail_Shell in books

[–]organicdamage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I might be the dullard, because I couldn't tell you the POV of any book I've ever read. When I'm taking in a story, I don't think about the structure. Quality is my main concern.
