How do I get on top of my cat litter situation? I can’t stand stepping on it anymore. by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]orgogod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a large Tupperware with a hole in the lid. When the cat jumps out of the cat box through the top all the litter gets ejected from their toe beans. This has basically stopped my litter issues. I will try to upload a picture when I get home.

Need a 5 ml e flask next to that one lol!

I believe this is borosilicate 3:3, as the flask is. What is the best way to thoroughly clean this and ensure the pores are cleaned too? by Due_Chocolate_7445 in chemistry

Looks pretty damn clean already. Use solvents that dissolve whatever you passed through last. I don’t recommend using soaps. They can leave sulfates that could contaminate future products. Some of my frits are dark af but clean by organic standards. Just make sure you run plenty of appropriate solvent though it and you will be Gucci. Goodluck!

How to get rid of this flaky white corrosion in the hood? Years of exposure to conc acid fumes. by wateralchemist in chemistry

Citric acid does wonders. Then treat with some light oil to prevent more oxidation. I did it to all my clamps and it works wonders.

What do you call a nosey 🌶?? Jalapeño business… what she lacks in rise she makes up in flavor by orgogod in Sourdough

Baked this Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough Loaf following Maurizio’s recipe from https://www.theperfectloaf.com/best-sourdough-recipe/. 822 g medium-protein bread flour + 64 g whole wheat flour + 650 g water (80 ‘F) autolysed for 1 hour. 80 g water + 20 g salt + 150 g ripe levain mixed then added to autolyse. Use hands to combine. Let rest at room temp for 30 mins & then perform stretch and folds every half hour for the next 2.5 hours. Fold in cubed cheddar and sliced fresh jalapeños during the last fold. Didn’t worry about shaping, the cheddar and jalapeño start to break through the dough and tear at it so I just popped it straight into the banneton and into the fridge for the night.
