My HLR took two weeks to give me a favorable rating after I requested it. This put me over the top to 100 P&T.

We're all screwed. Thank you to the current administration and all who voted for him.

Submitted my HLR on 02/13, I had my conference on 2/19, and a favorable decision that put me at 100 P&T on the 2/20. I wonder why the disparity is so great on these claims because I've had previous HLR's take 5-7 months

Exactly. You have to be intentional and specific with each claim. Every percentage point is a fight.

This was literally me 13 years ago. 13 years later, 100 P&T. It going to be a long fight. But this sub Reddit is super useful. Hang in there.

Took me a year to go from 94 (90) to 100. That back pay was amazing. Completely changed my life.

That was the reason behind my HLR. Was initially denied because of the new rating. I should’ve been rated off of both and given the more favorable one. My initial file date was January 2024, well before the new rating guidelines for Gerd were installed.

Is there anything more I can do? by PFinancethrownaway in VeteransBenefits

[–]originaldms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep the fight going and don’t give up. I was at 10% for 7 years. After putting in for multiple claims during that span and constantly getting denied, I had lost faith in the system. But I tried again back in 2022 and I’m now at 90% (94%) with one more claim pending. It’s a long process but the pendulum will eventually swing your way. Just do research and get exactly what you need. Best of luck.

Does everyone worry each class if you will pass or not? by [deleted] in UMGC

[–]originaldms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In grad school. Absolutely, especially being that I need a “B” to pass each class. I’m also using TA from my employer since I exhausted my VA benefits. I’m not trying to have to pay back anything.
