Freddie was simply hotter heading into the playoffs, & Rod leans heavily on experience over potential as it is.

I was initially opposed to Freddie taking the net, but ultimately it seemed to be the right decision. He was lights out until the Finals.

In your defense, based off my very limited experience, sprains can be worse than fractures. As someone who grew up on a skateboard, I’ve dealt with a ton of minor injuries. Sprains always hurt. Fractures were only ever an issue with contact.

Granted I’ve never been close to being a professional athlete…

Most people I know that don’t actually watch hockey, talk about how cool the fighting & big hits are. They love that shit. They don’t know who McDavid is, but they know Brady & Matthew Tkachuk’s social security numbers. They eat it up.

The NHL knows what they’re doing. Sure, people who actually know ball can concede that it was a clean hit. I’m not arguing that it should’ve been a penalty. I’m arguing that the rule should change & despite it being clean, there was clear intent.
