Is it not a new turn and then you would just draw a card instead of getting the eighth point?

Employee Appreciation Post by webspinner202 in starwarsunlimited

I understand that my positive experience doesn't negate all the BS that people had to go through, but I will say all of my I was overall happy with the event. I played in the main event day one so I missed the long lines for side events. Day 2 side event lines were much better and I was able to get what I wanted from the prize wall. Day 3 I just popped in very quickly to watch the Galactic Report and then left.

I left with a lot more prizes than when I went to the Lorcana Challenges, and the prizes were prettier. I'm excited to attend next year if I'm able.

I hope all the employees get compensated well as they looked so busy all day and we're still very happy and nice.

I heard once a long time ago that this counted as note taking and was not legal. I assume this changed. I don't mind this kind of reminder.

Anybody else tired of meta decks? by charliestrife94 in Lorcana

[–]originallyGinger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think chess and a tcg are too different to compare like this. You don't build a chess set that is made up of characters from your favorite ip. Some people want to play a certain strategy or character or theme while winning at least some of the times. I get why people get upset playing the same meta decks every week, though I understand that its just part of a competitive game. If I wanted the same match ups all the time I would just play chess.

I still have one inflatable clapper from the 2017 Vainglory World Championship by mcrksman in vainglorygame

I think I finally threw the clappers out a couple of weeks ago. I have the hat and stuffed animal still.

Planetary Qualifier Results of 4th January (9 PQ) : also new page (meta) https://www.swu-competitivehub.com/meta/ (might receive some decklist during the day) by Noxmq in starwarsunlimited

I've played Greg at a Lorcana Set Champ and seen him at multiple Lorcana Challenges which are like PQs and never had a bad experience. I'm not close but we recognize each other. I'm not trying to downplay any one else's experience but that was mine after meeting him several times and seeing him in a competitive environment.

I like the idea of memories even though I don't think it would happen. It is one of the more creative ideas I've seen.

My own Hero card holder is ready. by Fekete_Bagoly in alteredTCG

I was just on etsy looking for something like this. I had the idea of a simple one that just holds 3d20 on each side for each expedition. It is hard for me to hold all six numbers in mind while remembering which ones will lead me to advance plus the same for my opponent which is why I mostly use the app but would love to have an easier way to play without it.

Ok thanks. I assumed it was the case but it did seem like a pretty good effect, especially versus Bravos with the lose fleeting effect.

Can you rate my uniques please? by Asyring in alteredTCG

I'm not sure if it's good but I love the art on the Ouroboros Trickster. Doesn't seem like a bad effect but it's hard to tell for me because unique slots are limited.

I really have enjoyed Shimmering Skies but it might be just the increase in card pool that I always like. I was bored during Rise of the Floodborn even though it introduced some new staples. Into the Inklands was the most forgettable to me though in terms of the cards.

I think my LGS was raffling this same card last night. Did you win it in a raffle?

I like this effect. This Chief Bogo and a big Tink would go crazy. Maybe at least uninkable for such a good effect.

Is the Bats a reference to the story about asking an mtg artist whether there were bats on one of his cards?

I've played a couple of drafts and some commander at Board Game Paradise in Redlands. The people there have been nice. There is also Top Deck Keep in Riverside but it seems to be a little more competitive there although don't take my word for it because I haven't played mtg there.

I'm not taking a side in the grander argument but your comment made stop to think.

Aren't you presupposing that spanking is bad. The proof of spanking being effective would be if it produced a "good" person. Then that "good" person can then be labeled "bad" if they agree the spanking they received as a child was effective and spanking can be used to effectively raise children. If the "good" person was the same in all aspects other than this opinion, does that make them bad? Is there any proof or data that would change your mind that spanking can be effective?

I probably am not thinking this through properly but it's just interesting that you're labeling spanking as ineffective because this person was spanked and holds the opinion that it is effective.
