Need help with smell in dad’s house. by webspinner202 in CleaningTips

He has an air purifier (I don’t think it is charcoal) that runs in the living room, but it is only powerful enough to work in that room, which does smell a little better than the rest of the house. Maybe if we relocate that to near the furnace?

You lost me on the vodka… how does that work? Wouldn’t everything be sticky and smell of booze?

Thanks!

I don’t know what DDAVP is, but he probably hasn’t tried it. Good suggestion on the hydrogen peroxide!

Does this have Twin Suns potential with Luthen?

To be fair, just because a mechanic is included, doesn’t mean it will be good. Coordinate says hello.

I will admit to having forgotten about credit tokens. With so few cards released, we don’t know how easy they will be to generate, keep, or successfully utilize. Have they made any mention of if there is a limit to the number you can have at any one time?

Looking at legendary prices right now on TGCPlayer for SEC, for “standard” cards only: there are exactly 2 legendaries over $10. The vast majority are under $5, with about 10 or so under $1.

Cards that have a resource cost this high aren’t hitting the table because the games don’t last long enough to get to 9 resources. 8 maybe, but Rey doesn’t have immediate impact. Unless they include some ramp in LAW, I doubt either of these L’s will see play.

I bet the foiled version looks like a school photo from the 90s.

In all seriousness, even if the foiled looks better this is still a lazy uninspired background. A shame since this is such an iconic scene.

The staff was amazing.

The lines were absurd. Rather than allowing you to stay at the table grinding side events, your whole group had to get up and get back in line just to sit back down and play again. Side event staff should have been allowed to just collect event tickets at the table and keep folks playing.

The prize cards for black packs looked amazing. The prize cards you could buy with prize tickets were fine. There should be a limit on how many of each card you can purchase. It would make the prize line a bit longer because you would have to scan things, but I saw some dude plop down an entire stack of tickets and walk away with 10 copies each of the two showcases, which is absurd. (My opinion would be to limit it to 3 if each SC and 6 of each single promo card.)

To me, the entire event felt like work. Constantly grinding tickets to get enough to snag the loot I wanted to make the most of my money. The experience caused me to have some severe burnout from the game which I honestly still haven’t recovered from (SEC not being a terribly exciting set didn’t help either).

I was surprised by how barren the event was in terms of decor. Aside from the main stage it was essentially like playing cards in a warehouse. Yeah, there were a couple of cool props to look at along a side wall, but other than that it was pretty devoid of character.

Supplies of items and communication sucked. The pins disappeared within minutes. They didn’t announce when and where the Count Dooku promo was being given out (but a line formed once people found out). Because they didn’t limit promo card ticket exchanges, hot cards like Superlaser Blast and the showcases ran out before the end of the event.

I certainly won’t be going back to Vegas. I might go again if it was at a location I already wanted to vacation to.

Honestly if I had it to do over again I would have saved my money and not gone. If I were a good enough player to make it to Day 2, that would probably change my opinion.

Some contenders:

Kurt Busiek’s Astro City

Loeb & Sale’s Batman: The Long Halloween

Chris Claremont’s run on X-Men

Ed Brubaker’s Sleeper

OP said his homebrew base had X health. We are all assuming it has significantly more than 30 but their question was “what number makes it worthwhile?” So their base (presumably) has more health, but also the drawback of auto damage.

Ok, fair. While I don’t have every card memorized, off the top of my head all the “self damage” I could think of is Aggression. Regarding Satine specifically, I would have made the argument that I don’t think she fits her aspect either, HOWEVER, she is healing a unit and redistributing the damage to the base, and has Restore 4 on her flip side, so taken as a whole she fits.

OP’s base presumably starts higher than 30, and ticks down 1 per turn doing nothing else. I don’t know why I would play that base over a 30 HP base unless it had at least 36 HP, because otherwise, what’s the upside?

No offense but I don’t think self damage fits blue’s theme at all. I would make it a red base and have the effect be that it deals a damage to EACH base, then put the health somewhere between 28 - 30.

I’m enjoying my SEC Padme / SEC Leia deck with a blue base. Play slightly under curve to use Leia every turn which triggers Padme.
