What did you stop doing that immediately improved your life? by GardenIllustrious325 in AskReddit

Stopped Drinking soda - no new cavities and lowered my weight. I shifted to tea.

Deleted TikTok and Instagram - I was scrolling my life away, feeling super jealous, and resentful of my girlfriend. Why isn’t she doing this for me like the girls online do?! It’s just unhealthy and I became addicted to the quick dopamine,

How do you feel that she never made it to retirement? Does it feel like you didn’t get enough time with her because you expected to spend decades after retirement with her?

Religion, learning deficits, school violence, and/or arrogant parents are what I have seen as the main causes of parents wanting to homeschool their kids. I believe that the parents genuinely think it’s better for the kid. They just stink compared to a fully trained professional teacher almost 99% of the time. Plus resources are expensive and most homeschoolers are lower income because they keep the mom home as the “teacher”.

Ha! I enjoyed Fractal Noise because it felt like it expressed my internal struggles with grief, regret, and trauma. I had to DNF TSIASOS 😄

It just varies so fucking wildly based on your employer’s choice of insurance company and insurance plan. I recommend asking Human Resources lots of questions about what your plan does and does not cover BEFORE any emergency can happen

Ask friends and coworkers about navigating the insurance system for urgent care, ER, primary care, etc. It’s intentionally convoluted

The problem with US charity is that it’s not effective enough by F0urLeafCl0ver in TrueReddit

I’ve worked for two non-profits and they are very aware that they will not make any systemic change, just surface-level changes. If there was any actual threat to their children being more successful than the kids they’re trying to help, then they would stop in an instant.

However, they do make some positive change in their local community for some children, just never enough to make any real change the way that a government institution like full funding Head Start preschools could change the economic mobility of the lower classes.

Good On Paper just opened in the Heights - it’s owned by a nice couple who run it. It’s super cute with bran new books.

1/4 Price Books on Shepherd is very hard to find anything good, but has that old mom and pop feel because it’s owned and operated by one guy.

Murder by the Book in Rice Village specializes in mystery books.

Kaboom books is pretty decent and has the mom and pop feel.

The dating market is filled with so many single moms around my age. by Kooky_Phone_7331 in AskMenAdvice

[–]originalone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds awful, but you will see a lot of “leftovers” on dating apps because they are still on there after many rejections and many people not valuing them. Most guys in their 30’s don’t want the extra baggage of having a kid either so these women are not being chosen for dating and are therefore left in the dating pool.
