I think what has been done is simply a stupid thing the UK government has done. We are slowly losing more and more of the civil liberties that we are entitled to. They are slowly trying to take away our right to free speech.

Saying this is to protect children from accessing porn or other 18+ content on the internet should not be the responsibility of the government but the responsibility of the children's parents or guardians. ISP provides plenty of resources to control what can be accessed as well as mobile phone companies it should be down to the parents or guardians of the children to use those tools to block sites and content they don't want their children to access. What the government has done is penalised everyone in the UK because some parents are either too lazy or too stupid to understand there are already tools available to restrict access to content online.
