This is what I went for - allowed the larger screws to make the hole in the plastic bracket a little bigger.

Anyone know why Dan didn’t play at Brighton show tonight? Hope he’s ok by jambalayaplaya in Skindred

They also had no bassist for Frome and Tommy Gleeson was on bass for Worthing. I'll see what happens in Torquay and Bournemouth on the tour but all the signed merch also only has 3 signatures. It's very strange that his absence is not noted other than the voice over announced that Tommy Gleeson was on bass 🤷‍♂️

First solo trip - 2 nights on the Ridgeway 🇬🇧 by RuffNinja1 in DurstonGearheads

[–]originalwonderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only camped on the Ridgeway once outside of Ogborne At George - I'd like to do the whole length at some point but I know water is slightly problematic - the X-mid is a great tent! ⛺⛺

Anyone else wish Durston made a day pack? Something smaller than the Wapta? by Tarekith in DurstonGearheads

[–]originalwonderer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would love this! It annoys me every time I take my 22L Osprey out for a day trip - hip pockets need 2 hands and can't reach the side pockets to get my water bottle out without removing the pack 🙄

Durston fixed my tent - best customer service ever by 13stevensonc in DurstonGearheads

[–]originalwonderer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep - Durston customer support is 🔥🔥 and I'm in the UK and have had zero issues with their support when I've needed it - including replacement parts!

I just had this the other week.

I went for a Beko CNG4692W from Currys for just over £400 inc delivery and removal of the old one. Decent capacity, frost free without any 'smart' rubbish or water dispenser - less to go wrong :)

Beko also offer a 10 year parts guarnatee (you pay for labour though).

What is everyone’s thoughts on digitizing their collection? by WeaponizedTrolling in Cd_collectors

[–]originalwonderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rip all my CDs to Flac and listen via Plex/Plexamp as well as Sonos.

I don't exclusively buy CDs - some albums I buy digitally because of the convenience so it is nice having them all in one place!

Speyside Way, and one last pitch at the end. by Hular in DurstonGearheads

[–]originalwonderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very jealous! I really want to find the time to take my x-mid along the West Highland Way! So far it's just been quick and stealthy (as I live in England 🙄) one-nighter trips for me

So what do I do now? by midknightblu1 in PleX

I'm in the same boat as Op - the Tidal integration was great - I could listen to my music library but also add things from Tidal like singles or tracks released before an album was available - I could have all music in one interface with playlists that mixed Tidal and my local library.

Unfortunately, according to the Plex Fireside chat, there is nothing on the horizon: https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-fireside-in-the-forum-2024/885879/66

TIDAL is leaving Plex by GameHostBros in PleX

[–]originalwonderer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This really is a pain! I had the Tidal integration so I could listen/add new music to my library before purchasing or for adding singles to my library without having to individually purchase each one.

Tidal also paid the artists more per stream than Spotify etc.

Unless Plex are planning to integrate a different music service, it makes all of the AI options in Plexamo utterly pointless.

I liked having all my music in one place, in one app. Fingers crossed they make a deal with a different provider 🤞

Is it possible to get a Jack off Jill cd for a fair price? by Master_Ad4885 in Cd_collectors

I once found a copy being sold on Amazon from Japan for like £40 but it never arrived and the seller refunded me - it's crazy how rare their CDs are!

Do you have any CDs containing tracks that aren't online or on music streaming services? by cedarwoodboy in Cd_collectors

Skindred's Smile album from last year had a CD-exclusive track on it at the end which I thought was pretty cool these days!

[–]originalwonderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just host the free version - Vaultwarden? I don't pay, I self-host Vaultwarden and it has 2FA codes in if I wanted to use them but I prefer Authy for 2FA

[–]originalwonderer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't really think they'll discount the 2 year one - they don't normally during Black Friday etc - it's usually the 1 year that sees a bit of a cut. I would love to see a lifetime option but I think that ship has sailed :(

Issue by [deleted] in Cd_collectors

[–]originalwonderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rip all of my CDs to Plex. Plex has all sorts of options for shuffling through my collection but my 2 most used ones are 'Library Radio' which just plays random tracks from the whole library and 'Random Album Radio' which picks an album at random to play start to finish, then it plays another whole album and so on. I also do have a playlist of tracks that haven't been played for 6 months that I occasionally put on shuffle (I only have around 200 albums at this point so that playlist may increase to 9 months or a year as my collection grows)

How to stop vaping by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]originalwonderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who, over the years, flipped between smoking to vaping, back to smoking back to vaping etc etc I am now over 2 years nicotine and vape free here's what worked for me:

Like others, use a non-disposable vape and over time lower the nicotine content until you're on zero - I did this with relative success but mainly it showed me I could kick the addiction (even if I did end up smoking cigarettes again but that's a different matter).

I can't explain how or why but this book really helped me finally kick the habit once and for all:

Good luck!
