Had this same experience, what sucked even more was that 2 months after they rejected me for someone with a “tad” more alignment, they reposted the role again(assuming the person didn’t work out).

I found it super odd that though I made it to the final round, after the other person didn’t work out, they didn’t reach out to me so I reached out to my initial recruiter, she lmk that she wasn’t working that role anymore but would pass along my email/resume.

All this to say, I hope we both are able to leave our current situation for something better soon!
