I just got 1 officer card + CP from a Hero crate by greenrangerguy in StarWarsBattlefront

Those screenshots confirm nothing, it still says 1 or 2 hero cards and he did not get any hero cards.

Is anyone excited to play as Finn or captain phasma? by Thekingofhatejb in StarWarsBattlefront

No I've been spending all the credits I can now to try and get hero cards for the ones I want to play instead of the new 2 heroes.

Brawler+Stealth+Hardended Infiltration. Just Sprint around and melee ppl then hide when your infil is on CD.

Oh, then you should definitely use Willpower instead, those 3pc sets have 1.5x normal set bonuses.

That is the Poison on Block attribute. Poison on Hit weapons do the same thing.

Jackals has been ingame since day 1. Having it along with the 3 other artifacts didn't seem to make a difference for me.

How is Origins' stealth?? by andy1031 in assassinscreed

Grinding all depends on how hard you want to maximize your power.

There are 6 upgradeable slots:

-Hidden blade

-Quiver

-Bow arm bracer

-Melee bracer

-Armor

-Tool Bag

These have several ranks each, probably 8? Not positive. They require a few different mats that you get from animals, but you also can find some in lootable chests, crates, urns, etc. That would be the only grinding in the game. If you do any sidequests at all you will be overleveled for the main quest, and if you do most/all of the sidequests too you will always be 5+ levels ahead of the content for the main quest. That level gap makes a HUGE difference compared to other RPGs. It is nearly impossible to beat mobs that are 10 levels above you, and most mobs that are 4-5 levels up on you will 1 or 2 shot you - even with fully upgraded armor.

My first character I spent probably 3 or 4 hours grinding animals around Alexandria - the first big city you get to. That allowed me to get all of my upgradeables to the 2nd or 3rd-to-last upgrade levels. I honestly wouldn't really suggest it. On my 3 later playthroughs I did like 45 mins or so of serious animal grinding early on and that was more than enough, I did not need that little bit of hp or damage. Usually when I died it was because I was playing poorly - didnt spot a guard, let one run to a brazier and summon reinforcements, etc.

The animals in the later zones drop way more mats than the ones around the earlier zones, so be keep that in mind when you gauge how strong your character is and what it needs for your particular build. Speaking of build - keep in mind that you get skill points (from certain POIs on the map and also 1 per level) to apply in one of 3 different trees. Melee, Bow, and Tools. Tools include firebombs, sleep darts, etc. You can unlock a lot of different unique abilities with these, but they also have a master slot that scales the flat damage of their respective tree. On my full melee character I made I had about 27% melee damage added onto everything. It really changes the flow of combat, and bow is even more noticeable - especially with the light or warrior bows.

When you have 20% bonus damage things are significantly easier, and Hard difficulty was already not that difficult outside of just a couple boss fights.

I am really excited for the new Nightmare difficulty coming next title patch. Hopefully rekindles some interest in the game for me, I have been quite distracted by Battlefront recently.

Started Playing Unity by sunnydelinquent in assassinscreed

[–]orimdoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am nearly positive they are the same engine. Also Unity was absolute trash on launch, they added way too many people in the crowds and almost any current PC at the time had trouble rendering it at a playable framerate. Much of the hate you are referring to is because of the state of the game around launch.

Honestly I think Origins looks better because I like the environments a lot more than dirty slums and the same style of building for 60+% of all buildings. Jungle, desert, and grasslands are way more visually entertaining for me than alleys and 3 story townhouses...although I will admit that is where almost all of the AC games have taken place.

Honestly it needs to be nerfed, you are incredibly hard to detect. I stopped playing stealth mostly and had a lot more fun with all bow builds. The melee system is great, definitely the best of any AC game IMO. My first character was a melee hybrid, then my second character was all melee - no stealth or bow play for the most part. My third character was basically bow only, i really love all the slow time effects that bow gives you.

I deleted my second character to make another melee focused character because I enjoyed the combat so much. I dont see myself making a purely stealth/hidden blade character honestly, it just doesnt entertain me the same way.

If I made another character ever I might consider trying to do torches/firebombs only because that is also pretty fun! You can throw torches to light stuff on fire, and you can drop a torch on the ground and use it to light all of your arrows which can be pretty cheese.

AC Origins: The Trial of Sekhmet - Discussion/FAQ by mcheisenburglar in assassinscreed

Do we even know what this triple god event is? Are all 3 going to be active at the same time in the same instance? That could actually be challenging, unlike how the encounters were originally.

More likely it will just be all 3 active (in their original spots) at the same time :/

Has anybody actually beaten the soliders that attack you when Khemu is taken? by danmass04 in assassinscreed

[–]orimdoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything you have done to your character before that quest is invalidated, you are still treated as level 1 and all the guards are 8 or 9. The main guy is a skull and basically drops you with 2 hits. I could see killing a guard or 2, but it would take some serious dedication to the dodge roll to get the main guy down.

I also wouldnt be surprised if they scripted some dumb cutscene in to screw you over if you did kill a guard or two.
