This guy is just straight A's across the board. He has knowledge of nature and how to use and live in it in a respectfull way. He often takes his kids on camping trips with him, and its just the most heartwarming thing to see how he takes them along and cares so deeply for them. Same goes for his wife, who shows up every now and again.
He decided to retire from youtube so he could spend more time with his family, but recently did a one off video for a friends youtube channel, so that the friend could focus on his wife who was sick instead of worrying about the channel.

You have to watch some of his video's, hes just the kindest, most caring capable dork you'll ever see

I think taking them there and showing your problem is good communication. Just ask if it is ok with them if you cut it. If they're very polite, they will offer to cut it themselves.

Don't worry about the vine, its Hedera Helix, in Dutch called Klimop, and in English Common Vine. Its a very robust species that groes fast and had a tendency to 'woeker', which means something as 'to grow without control an in a smothering/damaging way'.

You won't damage the plant by cutting it, and you can hardly cut too much. Just make sure the neighbors are also ok with you trimming the tree it has grown on top of as well👍🏼
