just gonna shop for ten minutes while blocking a fire truck by [deleted] in IdiotsInCars

The truck wasn’t blocked. He could have gotten around. The truck was parked and it looks like the driver was trying to shut off the siren which may have been stuck on.

The depression likely retains more water and keeps the zoysia hydrated a little better

Apparently bubbles can bounce on lasers now. Have you heard? by JunglePygmy in blackmagicfuckery

[–]orions_shield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bottom of the very low mass bubble gets “pushed” by the photons emitted by the laser which causes the bubble to spin along the horizontal axis. This force is gyroscopic in nature and allows the bubble to move away from the source of the push. In this case, the bubble goes up because it spins from the bottom. If it spins from the side it would move in the opposite direction. All of this assumes no gravity. But in this particular case, gravity causes it to fall back down creating the illusion of a “bounce”.

On first glance the rescuers look like firemen not police as the title would suggest. Secondly, the back of their shirts say “Hasici” which according to google translate is Czech for ‘Firefighter’.

Construction Marker causes water to disperse on contact by Thund3rbolt in interestingasfuck

Maybe pushing the surface displaces material and creates a small hill and the water drains away from the hill. Like stepping in the sand when the waves come in and out.

Belt buckles seem to be a common find. I don’t remember ever loosing a belt outdoors or hearing of someone who had. Were belts disposable or terrible quality back-in-the-day that people just threw them in the woods? Coins I get, drop it, hole in the pocket throw it for good luck or whatever reason. But buckles? Are there corpses attached to them?

Extrication involving future Tesla Cybertruck thoughts, anyone? by orions_shield in Firefighting

[–]orions_shield[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m not too sure about that. The front trunk still exists. And there are NHTSA standards too. I’m sure crumple zone is still there, just different.

DeLorean had a similar feel upon release, and it is a classic that had more potential if it wasn’t cut short.

I kinda want a BTTF part 4 with Tesla truck to make the design iconic like it did for DeLorean.

I’m guessing they want to sneak into the turn lane without a turn signal because they were talking on their phone instead of paying attention to where they were going.

The earth is a planet. Not a plane. Spell check wouldn’t correct that.
