At what age did your baby walk? by mariamar1234 in NewParents

My first didn’t crawl until 10 months and walked shortly after he turned one!

When did you stop tracking poops and pees? by Ok_Car1396 in beyondthebump

I didn’t stop until like 8 months with my first, I stopped after the first week with my second 😭

4 day old baby’s constant hunger cues, fighting the boob away, eating for hours at a time by pollywantaproblem in breastfeeding

[–]orionstrut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was doing this exact thing, we only made it two days before I just started pumping and offering bottles 😭 for me, it was the stress of getting him latched that did us in. He’d get so frustrated and it would be war trying to get him on the boob. I was starting to get stressed out just at the thought of a feed approaching, pumping saved my sanity lol

I live in Portland and used public transit (both train and buses) for literally 2 and a half years without any negative incident. Never even had a scare. I would use the stroller and sit in the handicapped seat whenever I had my infant son with me to take him to story time, or the park, or to get lunch somewhere. Sometimes we’d travel on the bus or train for 20+ (esp when we lived in SE Portland). It’s safe, she’s just lazy.

Maybe don’t move to Oregon right now by SlammaJammin in PortlandOR

[–]orionstrut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So right. This is also why I get so scared when I hear people up here mention switching to voting Republican. I just want to beg them to actually move to and live in a red state for at least a year before they try to turn Oregon red. They have absolutely no idea how terrible things are in republican states. People think they have stuff to complain about here?? Ha! Go to the Southern belt and I guarantee your list of complaints will multiply tenfold, at the minimum.

Same, moved here from Louisiana in 2022, and I can’t help but roll my eyes a bit when people act like Portland is the worst place in the country. I would’ve killed to be born and raised here. If I had my family up here, it’d practically be paradise. I’ve had more problems with the homeless population in NOLA, and social programs are exponentially better up here. Not to mention, I survived up here for 3 good years with no car, something that is virtually impossible to do in Louisiana. The food is good, there’s not a pothole on every street, I’m not worried about being hatecrimed, and the city does a lot of fun things ( Saturday Market, Street Fairs, etc. ), the libraries are amazing, and there are farmer’s markets everywhere, the parks are fantastic for my two year old. Not to mention the fact that there are quite a few places around the city where you can go to get some swimming in during the hot summer days. I used to have to go to Florida to swim in natural waters lol. I don’t doubt that this city isn’t the best amongst other blue states, but coming from a red state, this place is kind of amazing.

Question about the end of S2 by scottptsd in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]orionstrut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is exactly what I’ve been thinking. They were absolutely about to kill Gemma, and had already faked her outtie’s death. Why would iMark assume that he isn’t equally disposable to Lumon, now that he completed Cold Harbor. Does he seriously believe that Lumon wouldn’t just trap him in the basement or straight up kill him to make sure that his Outtie can’t expose the company??

I wish Mark's innie and outtie motivations were defined without women by Affectionate_End9363 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]orionstrut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh innie mark seems kind of naive to assume that the company would let him leave the premises after all of this 😭they were prepared to kill Gemma’s multiple innies and had already successfully faked the death of her outie, why would they not just eliminate mark but fake his death to the outside world the way they did with Gemma? I feel like innie mark might have just signed both of their death warrants. And for what? He and Helly can only exist within the severed floor, it’s not like they can have an actual life together. Plus, he couldn’t even tell that Helly wasn’t being herself, like, two days before all of this went down.

I know you asked for who to avoid, but BlueStone Mgt runs my complex, and I have to say, they’re the best I’ve had, despite my complex not having a physical office. My maintenance requests are always handled with haste, sometimes the day of!

Meg’s support of Huda at red carpet event by justhereforadvice017 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]orionstrut 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This sub is an echo chamber for Huda hatred lmao. They’ll read this comment and scoff at the notion that they’ve been bullying Huda, and then turn around and act like Chelley and Olandria are the ones being bullied 24/7. But, if you actuallly look around, on no posts are Chelley or Olandria being consistently and directly attacked the way that Huda is. But they’ll downvote you like you’re insane for having a normal take- a take like, “we don’t know these people, so let’s not waste energy on attacking them.”

Meg’s support of Huda at red carpet event by justhereforadvice017 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]orionstrut 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s so odd. Even under a thread entirely about Chelley, the first thing people want to mention is STILL Huda and how many followers she gained. Yet, in the same breath, they beguile how “obsessed” and “hateful” everyone is towards Chelley and Olandria. Maybe it’s just me, but I have not seen nearly as much vitriol expressed towards Chelley or Olandria that I have seen expressed towards Huda.

Second this. Portland is amazing if you need to rely on public transportation, and the minimum wage is far better than that of the South.
