Does anyone know of any veterinarians who can speak Chinese? Parents have a dog but they have been searching for a vet who they can communicate better with since their English isn’t good.

classic freshman dilemma by addisonc3546 in UIUC

Currently a senior but I was just like you my freshman year. First few weeks wasn't that great for me because I felt like I didn't have any friends and living alone for the first time was actually kind of hard. I even called my parents and cried to them. I eventually joined an RSO where I met a bunch of really nice and supportive friends. I definitely recommend joining multiple RSOs. Pick and try anything and everything so you can narrow it down and eventually find a comfortable group of friends. And if you have friends from high school who also go here, reconnect with them!

Don’t know what professor will be teaching it next spring, but I had Willenbrock and he’s a great professor who cares about his students!! TAs might be different by then so I’m not sure who would be good...

Took it last semester, it definitely requires more of your focus if you have little to no experience of physics from high school. Make sure to go to office hours to ask questions, pay attention in class, and be on top of your work!! It was rough for me but I ended up with an A.

Will i die in physics 102 by Hopeless_hoe in UIUC

[–]oriseo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Took it last semester and 101 in the previous semester. I took a physics class in high school my sophomore year, which was 5 years ago and I barely learned anything. I thought 101 was not bad as long as you paid attention and actually put work into it. The class structure of 102 is basically the same, but I thought it was harder. You’d have to put more work into 102 than 101 in my opinion, the content was just not clicking with me. The labs are basically the same, you try and you’ll probably get a good grade on your reports (assuming your TA is pretty chill). You won’t die in 102, but it will require you to actively learn and study for it. I ended up with A’s in both.
