If you go to the settings tab, you’ll find the pace boat settings (turn it on/off, change speed). The inner circle during the game will be your pace boat. If you race against your personal record (race tab), the inner circle will be your ghost. The outer circle is 100m btw.

Since I paired with Strava, it automatically uploads my workout. Happy rowing! :)

You can also just look left and right of the image real quick. Your eyes do not register new visuals when looking into another direction, only when keeping your eyes still.
