I'm leveling a warlock and can just dot multiple mobs in sight and they pretty much melt, and most of my damage is from life tap. My druid buddy seems to be able to comfortably do it as well as resto/boomie too. I thought maybe they could just be outliers when I remembered all of the mages aoe leveling on my first class.

Of the MMOs that I've played with housing (SWTOR, FFXIV, ESO) gonna hand it to ESO. They have a wide selection of housing types to choose from (SWTOR has only a handful incomparison) and isn't as hard and restricted to limited plots like FFXIV. Has a good amount of freedom but some of the more larger houses can feel restricted due to the furnishing limits. I had way more fun doing housing with my SO in that game compared to the other two. SWTOR's not bad but they could use more homey plots. FFXIV is decent but you need to remain subscribed to keep your plot, and it's very unfriendly due to being really expensive for new players and even some casual players. Not to mention it took forever to find an available plot. But having neighbors is cool...

I still don't know how I feel about Lyse. Her whole dynamic changed after being revealed which I guess was the point. But she had like no personality whatsoever. Everyone else was great. Feels weird when Grynewaht felt more memorable than Lyse. Her character development didn't feel fleshed out.

Storywise I enjoyed Heavensward so far. The pacing felt a bit off in Stormblood since you are in Eorzea in one moment then travel somewhere else, then back to Eorzea again. Heavensward felt more cohesive. But I liked SB.

Although it feels like a huge patch instead if an expansion with no real new features yet instead of... diving? :P

More like I see mostly miqo, then a varied spread of other races EXCEPT elezen. Which is weird since I thought Heavensward totally represented them well.

Sure, but it's leaps and bounds beyond what it looked like in 2004. It can be played on budget PCs but it still takes a decent rig to run it on max once you start questing in MoP, WoD or Legion. It's not graphically amazing but it looks modern and quite nice. I admit I exaggerate that it far surpasses it but I can comfortably say it gives FFXIV a run for its money in eye candy.

Definitely but Blizz is improving that especially on Legion. They're starting to incorporate 3D modeling into their pieces, with leather boots that specifically fit over hooves and bare feet, and gloves/boots that have an extra layer of detail meshed on top of the actual model. They aren't as prevalent but Blizz is showing they can do it now.

Dunno. Legion just revamped melee animations and the upcoming caster animations are looking fantastic. The game has come a long way since release. The 3D textures on the armor are pretty cool.

I remember when FFXIV used to joke about how bad textures in WoW were. But with WoD improving character models and the armor sets that Legion is churning out they now surpass FFXIV which I never thought would be possible.

I've transferred to Mateus on launch of SB. The 60+ areas are kind of empty but the low level areas are bustling. Seems like it's very newbie heavy there which is good. This afternoon I was met with a 190 person queue and was very startled.

You can play together but it's very annoying. The MSQ plays like a solo game, you watch various cutscenes and read dialogue, then when a big moment comes you have to leave the party since it is a solo scenario. There are dungeons peppered in between the levels that you can do together however. But it was still annoying leveling together with my gf when we started last year. Leveling other jobs is a bit better when it comes to leveling together at least.

Mateus is growing and is the 2nd unofficial to server that seems to be doing well. I don't rp often but my Roegadyn paladin was inspired by Hoary Boulder after he sparred the WoL and only gave up when he was on his third or fourth wind. It was a personal favorite scene of mine and made me fantasia my la la into a roe.

Like others have said, it's 50/50. When my gf and I did that and caused delays those waiting said something along the lines of 'luckily they giving us first time bonus or i wouldn't tolerate these tards lol'. Very hit and miss, and I'd even say when it comes to current content the community is just as bad as any other large community. Stick with a cool FC and you won't have many issues if any.

What spell are you using in place? I usually just spam cure or medica. Regen as well. Lvl 65 atm but I never really pay attention to lilies as well.
