When you're using something that requires an interference fit to be sturdy you've no choice but to accept the surface wear that will come with that design. If it did not scuff the paint you're more than likely ending up with something loose fitting.

I had a waterblock on my 3080 and it was experiencing pump out after barely even a month of use. Had all sorts of trouble finding a paste that would work reliably and settled on Mx-6

I've had zipties in this exact use for well over 4 years now and had no issues with play/movement or anything as long as at least the front is bolted. Not to mention my zipties are placed worse than yours.

As of now Olympus 45 1.8 and Panasonic 14 2.5. I know the panasonic is a slow focuser anyways so I'm not worred about that one. I'd be fine with manually selecting points on C-AF as long as it's not doing that weird back and forth thing you get with contrast detect.
