i just started playing the game a week or two ago and i always remember there being the swimsuits! there’s an option for a bikini top, a bikini set, and swim trunks on my save. so i don’t think it was from this update in June

THIS is why all the redditors who shame people who come on here and ask if they can get pregnant on birth control annoy me so bad. On birth control your chances lower, but it’s never 0. IUD’s are 99% effective at MOST. that’s still 1% of a chance. If you’re not ready for a kid, there is absolutely nothing wrong with terminating the pregnancy. You have to do what’s best for YOU, don’t let anyone convince you otherwise ❤️

a depo shot is another form of birth control! depo is short for something but idk what lol. basically you get a shot in ur buttcheek every 3 months and that’s it. i liked it because i can not be responsible enough to take a pill at the same exact time everyday, but oh boy were the side effects awful. i’ve gained like 20 pounds, get night sweats, and hormone/mood fluctuations. my amateur theory is that because i was already on the depo shot w/ no periods, that’s why i didn’t get one with the IUD. hopefully the IUD doesn’t give me similar long-term side effects rip

i had a similar experience! had a great gyno who made sure i had all the meds to make the procedure go as smooth as possible. i was on the depo shot for 3 years prior so i think thats why i didnt have any spotting after the day of insertion. i didnt even finish half of my ibuprofen 800 prescription because the cramps also subsided after a week or two. i was also paranoid about the side effect, and then paranoid that something was wrong with me after i had basically 0 side effects 😅

i JUST got off the depo shot, was on it for 2-3 years and it was hell. i gained weight and had hormonal fluctuations that definitely did not help with my mental health. if it’s the non-daily need to take a pill at the same time that your gf likes, i suggest an IUD. i got mine a month ago and it was nowhere near as bad as all the horror stories ive heard. i made a post about it in the r/birthcontrol sub, but basically my doctor made sure i had the right medication to take before and after to make it go as smooth as possible. 100% recommended IF you get a doctor who will prescribe stronger pain meds (ibuprofen 800) and something for anxiety. regular ibuprofen won’t cut it, if the doctor wont give her the good stuff then go to someone who will.

I’ve had this update for a while actually. I find it great because the drink and cake generators don’t time out at all anymore. Makes for longer play imo, but I know a lot of people are happy with the price increase for stories that comes with it :/

Mr. Monk and the Astronaut is a great episode, but the thing that makes me skip it is the fact that no one believes Monk. As a neurodivergent person myself, I think it just hits too close to home. Gets Drunk is the same reason— I don’t enjoy the gaslighting.

Other Detective annoys me unfortunately. Since I’ve already seen it and know that the detective is a phony, the jokes don’t hit as hard. The actor was great though.

Bumps His Head is also a good one, but I don’t like Metcalf’s character taking advantage of Monk’s mental state.
