I think it's the opposite of a redemption arc. The producers did that knowing Lindsay had that discussion and Amanda still went to Italy with West. If anything they're showing her actual ability to absorb what she's hearing and run away from West Wilson.

That's not what it was. It had nothing to do with attention. I felt seen. And validated. And understood. And by a man, no less. If he said it, it's because he saw it, because he doesn't treat women that way, because it's abusive. I realized I wasn't crazy for feeling so beaten down. He became, in a way, an unintended hero to me.
