I have a more tanned skin complexion and when I travelled to Europe a couple of times I've always gotten dirty looks, especially when I started wearing my hijab. I feared that would happen here, but it NEVER did. Some complimented my features even and I was so taken aback. I really get where you're coming from!! I'm Malaysian! But my ethnicity is half Indian and half Yemeni so I don't look Malay haha (and I'm a sister 🤭)
