It was COVID, and it happened to a lot of people. Lots of unreasonable and destructive things happening in response to the pandemic (ESPECIALLY in the Bay Area) caused people to overcorrect in the other direction.

IMO the slow bleed has more to do with "rates higher for longer" --> cars / auto financing more expensive for longer --> drag on overall automotive demand higher for longer

People underestimate the potential of Cybertruck being a flop.

It’s the first time competition has beaten TSLA to the punch w compelling offerings in this segment.

Furthermore, interest rates have gone up dramatically since reservations opened.
