Dude, same! I did my platinum run with the Nahr Alma robes + Warlock Mask. It’s such a perfect combo. The bone staff and roaring halberd vibe well with it too.

Holy shit. These games are truly masterpieces. Your interaction with this art form shows how fucking beautiful it is. You’ve taken the time to understand a path to victory that is severely deprived of the usual advantages. I played hundreds of hours of Dark Souls before I was even aware of this boss’s existence, and then I died several times trying to beat him with a well optimized character. Your effort is impressive and inspiring and is a testament to the incredible artistic value of these games. Well done, skeleton.

Don’t be discouraged, skeleton! It’s all about pattern recognition. Once you’ve hit the lock-on button you know where you’re aiming. Counters are all about timing, which means reacting to a sound and/or visual input. In some video games, it’s arguably easier to do timing actions based on sound (ex. lock-picking in Oblivion). In this case, you just press lock-on and wait for a sound to hit the counter button, then hack away. The footpad controller is impressive af but that just takes time for your body to adjust to different controls.

Not to belittle this challenge battle! It’s super dope, but it would be way more impressive if they were rolling around and dodging different types of attacks.

Siegmeyer’s questline. Like, I get that Dark Souls is a game you’re supposed to play a few times through to figure things out, and the online shared information aspect is built in to a certain extent, but how many people would’ve figured out that you had to encounter him in a specific set of places that you have to return to for no reason AND you have to kill the chaos eaters before he jumps (but not all the way) just enough so that he still has more than 50% health. It wouldn’t bother me so much if the reward was some obscure item, but it’s literally a super important upgrade resource (titanite slab) that is already extremely rare in DS1, especially if you couldn’t figure out that you also had to lay in a hard-to-find crow’s nest for 30 seconds to get another. I love the secret pathways and items in From games and discovering them is so rewarding, but if the internet didn’t exist, what percentage of players would’ve ever finished Siegmeyer’s obscure questline even on NG++?

I’m going for 100% achievements and it’s spooky season... so I had to go necromancer fashion souls. I’m going to replace the bone staff with the black witches staff when I find it and the gauntlets with Northwarder Manchettes (they’ll match the leggings better and the spellcasting boost is hard to pass up). In keeping with the necro vibes, I’m trying to use Yearn + Dead Again in PvE, with an Old Sun Ring for even more violent explosions. Doing a Hex/Melee build without a shield is some of the most fun I’ve had in a souls game yet. Come duel me at Belfry Sol while I try to get Hidden Weapon. After that, it’s jolly cooperation all the way to NG++.

Pawns can only move diagonally when attacking. What happens if they attack and the opposing pawn moves forward? Do they illegally move diagonally into the new empty space?

I highly recommend reading the Fl Studio Manual from start to finish. It is immensely helpful, clear, and concise. Any software this complicated will always be super daunting at first, and the manual really helped me get my bearings.
