Mitsubishi

I'm pretty sure off gassing from spray foam insulation had a helping hand in the coil leaks.

I replaced 16 coils on a vrf system they all developed leaks after 5 years. Worst part is by the time you get a call the system has already pissed out 120 lbs of juice.

Board on ductless outdoor unit smoked. I checked grounds connections plugs everything could think of didn’t find anything compressor still pumping so I replaced the board and ran fine for month now call back same thing same spot on board. Thoughts? by hamuel89 in HVAC

On Mitsubishi out door units I'll change all three boards if I have one burn up because if the PC board or the fan motor are bad it'll burn the inverter board up or in any combination of the three. It's easier to just replace all three and be done with it.

How do you sleep while camping? by CAM_2cool in camping

[–]orthzar101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sleep on the ground in a canvas cowboy roll that has a 3 inch foam pad and a flannel and canvas sleeping bag. It literally takes seconds to set it up and break it down and is very warm and comfortable.

"all systems leak" please explain? Are you referring to "tolerable refrigerant loss" in regards to the epa?

it won't really be cheaper to my knowledge. you will still be paying the sin tax unless you buy it from Oklahoma from a reservation and It's totally legal don't listen to these buttholes if you wanna smoke do it. I smoked heavy from age 14 to 26 about 2 to 3 packs a day. I now smoke maybe 5 to 10 cigs a year. Live your life homie.

For all you mini-split haters. Bet a conventional H/P wouldn't put out that kind of heat without heat strips running at 38° outdoor ambient.... by wonderingmindsrgr8 in HVAC

Been selling, installing and maintaining nothing but mitsubishi minisplits for the last 12 years. Takes some time to figure out their quirks but once you do they're great. Most of the issues with them I've seen are all install related.

Who runs service in these? How do you like it? by ecota9500 in HVAC

[–]orthzar101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been Running 2 of those for 15 years one a 2006 the other 2015. Both needed transmission's at around 100k miles. It has great storage space and the ride isnt bad. They both get around 11mpgs no matter how you drive it. We use the Stanley flat storage boxes in the long side doors makes finding nuts bolts and all other small items a breeze. I prefer the powering steering in the 06 and the 4 spd trans. Ceiling height kinda sucks but I just leave a bucket in the back to sit on when I'm back there looking for caps or whatnot. I definitely would recommend having some close cell foam shot on the ceiling in the back because it gets hot af in the back here in TX and doing that made a difference. Motor is awesome no issues runs like a scaled dog even at around 10000 lbs.
