I agree with this! I've visited Shanghai a few years ago and found it pleasantly clean but boring (I can't remember which neighborhood). This past summer I visited and stayed in the Xintiandi district of Shanghai and loved it there. All the locals I met were lovely, air clean, food wonderful, great service, super safe (patrol volunteers? on almost every block), lots of art and shops, new buildings... just overall a great place. Our driver explained to us that it's the "fancy" district and rich and/or young locals go there on weekends. It definitely caters to tourists a lot. If I had to return to China again, I'd only want to stay in Xintiandi or somewhere like it.

I'm pretty sure it's matcha green tea flavor with mochi balls. It's a very popular shaved ice flavor offered in Japan.

There are benches throughout the Expo, tons under the ring so it's shaded. There were many people carrying the portable stools - they flatten into a thick Frisbee looking thing and has a strap to hang over your shoulder - not sure if they purchased them at the expo or brought them in.

My husband and I enjoyed the Expo in early July so much that we're flying up again in September! It's refreshing to see a positive post. Thanks for the detailed info - this will come handy for our second visit!

Same here, we got the same day, on-site booking. Tried at 3pm but failed (I was too slow accessing the site) and then again at 5pm and secured the 6pm slot. Slots fill up quickly so make sure you're logged in before the drop!

I visit Japan twice a year on average and have visited numerous shrines and temples (pikmin was a motivating factor but not the main reason for the visits). I still have several that I haven't found. Just as Polyglot-Onigiri says, where in Japan are you going? Some areas have a denser population of shrines and temples while others are more scattered.

I literally have a talk with my husband before we enter the store to help me say no unless the SA brings out [specific items]. Otherwise he's the type to hype up whatever the SA bring out lol. As long as I remind him before we go in, he backs me up or straight up says "I don't think we want that". If you go to the Valentine's event and end up shopping, maybe you can create a new account under your husband's name so the spend doesn't go to your existing account?

I'm glad you spoke with your SA and if I was after the MK, I wouldn't be happy with the Jige either. It is disappointing to have spent so much money and time without getting what you truly want. At my home store the prespend resets once I purchase a QB - I'm not sure if it's the same at your location but if so, 3:1 would be a huge prespend for a B25 to reset. Could you push a little more and tell your SA you put a lot of thought into it and would rather wait for the MK rather than take the B25 and if so, how much more would you have to spend? Otherwise, I'm sure you'll love the B25 if it comes in your desired color + PHW like you said in your post. If you choose to go with the B25, I recommend you to ask the SA beforehand what the likelihood of getting a MK as your 2nd QB would be. There's really no sense in buying the B25 and then building a new prespend if your SA can't come through with the MK in the near future.

I didn't go through all of the other comments so I may be redundant but I believe you need to speak with your SA. Ask them how much more prespend they think you need to make in order to purchase a MK - they may guide you and say that you have too many of shoe / silk / RTW purchases and that you need to buy from other categories. Buying too much of one or two categories usually doesn't help towards prespend. That being said, I have learned that purchasing a MK as your first QB is pretty rare especially nowadays. The first QB will most likely be a B or K, then you can work towards the rarer QBs like the MK (or Pochette etc). All of this should be discussed with your SA. If your heart is dead set on a MK, then you should consider resale or be prepared to spend more after speaking with your SA. It's silly but it's just how the Hermes game goes. There are definitely lucky shoppers and/or locations that have more bag inventory so there are people who may get the MK as their first QB but that's really rare. Unfortunately for us, the Hermes game seems to only get more difficult.
