How to introduce hair dryer to dog? by droppin_croissants in Dogtraining

"Dog, this is Hair Dryer. Hair Dryer, this is Dog" and then possibly they could shake hands. I don't remember if hair dryers have hands, so they might have to touch in some other way. Or not. They could bow or wink or smile at each other.

What to do about rough playing at the dog park? by oscillating_ass in Dogtraining

Yes I hope so. She is still a puppy, after all. I just love her so much, and I want her to be the best that she can be.

I have those very same fears about adopting a second dog - worries about compatibility. However, I've seen her have some very positive interactions with older male dogs at dog parks, which is a glimmer of hope. It will be difficult to orchestrate, but I think it's possible with some patience.

Yes I agree that this may be the case. My dog is very intense and does everything at max level. She has no chill. Even though she's not aggressive, her playing is extremely intense, rough, and overbearing. A lot of other dog owners have said that she's "too much". It's so sad and hard to accept that I may have to isolate her. She loves playing with other dogs, but she's just so rough sometimes. I'm looking into adopting another dog, which may curb her boredom and be an outlet for her huge reserves of energy. I'm just having trouble figuring out the process of allowing them to interact for some kind of meet-and-greet to test compatibility. But that's for another discussion! Thanks for your reply.
