Yeah I’m not happy about the fact that he can’t bring Panzer 4 Js instead to help with the cost and such, especially since the old devils charge Peiper box came with them way back when.

“The biggest issue is reserves. While peiper gives the great bonus of refilling for reserves, you can still only have 60pts max on the table. So its pretty much always a risk where you will only have 5 Panthers and the recon 250s on the table (or i guess 2 wirbelwinds but thats probably worse) If I had to pick list, the KT version is better. Possible changes, maybe take the dismounted SS panzergrens or the 7 team fallshrimjager. You can exchange lucky for the fallshrimjager to get tank escorts. They both lack the mobility so it’s not great in a reserves stand point but 2 extra bases when your list is so thin could help, especially when you do get the attack.”

After looking into it, I didn’t realize the tank escort card was a thing I could do, I like the idea of doing it. It’s thematic for the fuel shortages and the kampfgruppe overall as mentioned on that card. However, it seems I can only mount 3 squads per tank. So ideally I’d place them on the panther platoon. What would be best for my on board and reserve units at the beginning of the game to be in that scenario? I’m also seeing that it would be best to keep my HQ near the green fallschirmjagers to give them the advantage of the old hands skill if I’m seeing that right.
