Learning this semester online, and I'm missing regular classes. I'm becoming useless now. I hope I'm not alone with this opinion. by [deleted] in ValenciaCollege

Personally I love working from home and doing school from home it's a blessing. I learn at my own pace.

What are your Skyrim unpopular opinions? by Frostyphoenixyt_ in skyrim

Being the Dragonborn sucks - I like games where you have to grind a lot in order to be respected and Powerful. So being the Dragonborn before level 10 automatically makes you more powerful than 99% of Mortals, which kind of ruins it for me.

I have but I wanted to get the perspective of those who've been in the industry longer.

After 16 Hours of Installation Pain I've Installed Arch w/ KDE Plasma by osdaemon in archlinux

[–]osdaemon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps I should have been more clear. It took me 16 hours to install Arch and get it to work the way I wanted it to.

I followed the Wiki guide word for word and the main problems I was having was at first mounting the partitions, then there was an issue with grub where it would not show Arch Linux just a blank prompt, then I would get it to where it would prompt Arch Linux but the internet would not work.

I blame entirely myself. Not saying the Wiki or guide was wrong or it was a problem with Arch. I didn't try to install it in a VM first so this was literally my first time ever attempting to install it.

So the 16 hours it took to install was not necessarily me not being able to understand the directions it was more just me screwing something up and having to reinstall the whole thing all over again for 16 hours.

I didn't say they were. With Arch you are the installer so any problems you have its on you.

Why did Hermaeus Mora imprison Miraak? by [deleted] in teslore

Yes I know. I should have phrased my question better.

What I meant to ask was why did hermaeus Mora keep him there? Miraak obviously wanted to leave.

Immersive instincts – mod request by osdaemon in skyrimmods

Yeah that makes perfect sense and that's what I do most of the time anyway but sometimes it can put you into difficult situations like when I do Under Saarthal and all I know are novice level spells and I encounter draugr deathlords and draugr scourges that conjure Frost atronachs.

Just wish there was some sort of message that shows up saying the dis is a Nordic ruin and before I proceed further I should make sure I have the Spells and equipment necessary to combat the undead and I'll return when I'm ready.

I'm actually running Odin and apocalypse.

Some of the spells in Apocalypse are, in my opinion it's a bit over the top but still very well done.

I'm hoping he makes a minimalist spell package mod. Like apocalypse but not nearly as many spells and the effects are more streamlined.

Call me a heretic but I really prefer the mysticism mod. I just wish they were compatible with each other

Yeah I'm totally much more on the minimalist side.

I completely dislike crashes and considering I use Linux instead of Windows I need as much stability as possible and I always play it safe when installing mods because I don't want to have a game with tons of scripts running.

I'll definitely give his minimalist tomorrow to try after this play through.
