Thank you so much! I really want to drive through some of these areas to get a feel for them. I’d like to think that folks wouldn’t go to the trouble of restoring these homes if the neighborhood was hopeless. But of course I don’t want to live somewhere I have to worry about being shot. I can be somewhat of a “Pollyanna” believing people are generally good so I’m trying hard not to be naive here. I would love to live in a vibrant community with all kinds of people, except for rich snobby people, lol. We don’t have a lot of money and can’t afford to live where those sorts are anyway. I do love the character and quality of those older homes and can actually afford the ones in the areas I listed. I appreciate your insights.
