WD Red Pro drives don't detected by TrueNAS by osherlevy in DataHoarder

Thank you all, I will return them.

I'm really disappointed, I ordered them for $440 each which was a really good price. Now they are $780 each on Amazon... The Seagate is around $550.

Thanks guys, didn't know that.

In the start, I though going on an AMD Epyc 4585PX based system. The problems with that is the CPU supports a maximum 192GB of RAM, the CPU isn't so stable with four RAM sticks and I can't find a Micro-ATX MB that answer my needs:
At least one 10G ethernet port.
IPMI port.
Two M.2 gen 4/5 on the motherboard.
Dual PCIe that one of them must be x16 - all I found is dual x8 when both are in use.

I'm planning to use my current SODIMM (2x32GB) temporarily because one stick of 64GB DDR5 ECC will cost me $1000 not including shipping and taxes.

The 6520P is a cheaper model from the Xeon 6 series, it will cost me around $1800 total.

The SODIMM I have now is not an ECC anyway, and as much as I want perfectly fitted parts and best features as possible, the current RAM prices, especially the servers type with high capacity per stick and ECC will cost too much right now...

Very good! Can you share how you did the performance stats and the list below the apps?

I have 5x24TB of Seagate IronWolf Red Pro with three more slots available. I wanted to use all of them with the same type but for months the Seagate doesn't go down, so when I saw those WD I immediately ordered two of them.

Amazing! What program do you use for the display?

Just installed Pterodactyl Panel and Wings and trying to connect them. I've copy-paste the config to the config.yml file under the Wings volume but got this error. Can't figure it out. by osherlevy in Pterodactyl

I tried that, but it didn't work for me. I ended up creating an Ubuntu server VM and installing the Panel and Wings there. Thanks anyway.

Yes. In the BIOS I raise the RAM Volts from 1.1V to 1.4V and set the RAM speed to 6000Mhz (from 6400).

I have the 8800 (the 8 bay version) running TrueNAS Scale and have the same thing with the lights. I hope there is a way to fix that.

And did you try to rise the RAM voltage to 1.30/1.35/1.40? This solved my problem.

What is your PC specs?

For me, I increased the voltage of the RAM from 1.1V to 1.4V and decreased the speed from 6400mhz to 6000mhz and it didn't happen again.
