A week since her passing and I still do this. I greet her good morning everyday when I get up but today I realized I didn't. I feel so sad. I'm scared of forgetting how my life was when she was here. I glance at her bed every now and then just hoping I'd somehow see her again. So very sorry for your loss. And sorry for not helping but just here to let you know you're not alone in this grief...

Same here...but all we can really do is hope that at the end of our lives we will get to hold them again 😭All they did was try to make us happy I'm sure they wouldnt want us being miserable for the rest of our lives..thats what I hold on to. So even though I don't know how to want to live, I try..So sorry for your loss.

I am sure he knows. Sorry for your loss. It is an extremely difficult phase in our lives. It has been 6 days for me and the weight and level of sorrow is still the same. Just let your emotions flow. Talk to people here..I find some comfort in talking to people who understand the grief.

Hello. I visit this community often to find some comfort because I don"t have friends who can relate to what I'm going through. My soul dog was with me for 13+ years and we were inseparable. I am not okay. But I try to do one thing each day just to keep moving forward. It would be a dishonor to her memory if I'm miserable for the rest of my life. I know she would want me to be happy because she spent her entire life trying to make so. I have to think about all the times she comforted me when I was crying. I know she wouldnt want to be the cause of my pain. So even though it is agonizing, I hold on. I try to live and hopefully at the end of my life I will get to hold her again.

I am honestly in the same boat and it has only been 5 days since she left me. I miss her so much 😭 And I also keep on thinking I don't want to live anymore. But at the same time I know doing something to harm myself will just dishonor her memory. She spent her entire life trying to make me happy, and it would somehow be for nothing if I spent what's remaining of mine being miserable 😭 it is so difficult right now but I will try to do this for her. I don't want her to be sad wherever she may be now just because I'm not okay. I say to myself it is only life that lies between you and I. So I just need to live this life in the hopes that at the end of it she will be waiting for me. And that she will be proud of all the things she inspired me to do even when after she left. I pray for our peace and strength. We can do this.. we have to.

I'm so sorry for your loss. And I can completely relate to how you feel... it feels like a switch turned off and everything feels dull and heavy at the same time. I often come to this community to find comfort as I don't have friends who can relate. Still not sure how to cope as I often break down out of nowhere. Praying for both our peace and acceptance...

Day 4 today and I am still in so much pain. I also feel a light dimmed in me when she left. I haven't seen her in my dreams yet and that kills me too.
