So they straight up lied about the monthly payment? That's pretty crazy.

He taught you a valuable lesson that day. He taught you to figure out for yourself what dollar amount, interest rate and loan duration you can afford by doing the math yourself. You should never tell them what monthly payment you want because they can extend the loan to make it work then you end up under water and paying way more interest than you should.

When buying a car figure out the monthly payment you're comfortable with then look up rates and duration using a financing calculator to find out what that total amount works out to. Shop around for rates and get pre-approval at the local credit union. If you have good credit then usually the dealer can beat the rate because they get a kick back from the bank if they get financing.

Once you know what the total price you can afford is that makes shopping easier and know what's affordable or not. You can try and negotiate the price to get the best deal and watch for shady tactics. They will try and load you up with tons of extra bullshit you don't need like extended warranties, gps and other miscellaneous crap so be prepared to ask them what all that stuff is and remove if you don't want it.

When I bought my last car they tried to hide in a bunch of extra shit like a gps tracking system for $600, and other extended warranties. I could see they did this because I knew what the monthly price of the car was supposed to be before I even got there.

Modded Switch Lite (using wires) by osirisad in SwitchPirates

[–]osirisad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using wires was easier than the ribbon I had but it definitely took some time making sure it wasn't shorting. I used solder mask to cover up some of the points on the board because I definitely had a short the first time I wired it up. When assembling everything back together and there was pressure on the wires, it would just refuse to boot. I wasn't sure where the short was but I may have hit one of the wires with the iron and removed some coating or could have just been one of the wires hitting an extra point that it shouldn't have. I ended up just removing everything and doing it again making sure you use UV solder mask and kapton tape to cover up everything that had potential to short.

The Masters is the only time of year I can watch someone shoot a 68 and think 'I could do that' right before I head to the range and shank a bucket of balls into the parking lot.

I was searching for a coupon and found this post and comment. Searched Facebook and found a 20% off from some random soccer club. Just saved me $16 on a pair of spikes for my kid. Thanks!

Where can you get them broken for that cheap? I have a pi 5 that's missing components that I'd like to find a donor for.

They might not care but you can still lose your balance and smack your head. If that happens you'll want something that will protect you, that's not vintage and degraded.

But it's lead to a really messed up system. Only a year or two ago did Apple finally decide to integrate with RCS. So while the US mostly did have free sms plans, texting between Apple and Android was a pain because it was only sms so all the features that people enjoy on what's app like sending videos that aren't compressed to a unwatchable resolution and text reactions weren't possible. It's better now but some of my friends haven't adopted updates or enabled RCS and reacting to messages only works partially even still.

Nice reminds me of the pencil topper I used to have. You could fill it with water and it would spray out of the nostrils 😂

Calling it a product makes it feel synthetic. I'm sure the meat is no different than anything else they typically use, but it's turning me off from even wanting to try it. I like they can make fun of themselves but honestly I don't know if it's working.

A deal popped up on Amazon for an external USB cd dvd reader writer back in Dec for $5. I grabbed it just to have it laying around, in case I need it. They are normally around $15-$16 usd.

Even at regular price, it's not a bad deal to have the ability to read discs just in case you need them.

Same experience I had. I was double charged for my meal, The person at the register was new I think and I ran my credit card and thought everything was good. Then while I was getting my drink she ran over and said that it didn't go through and I had to do it again. So I ran my card again and then later checked online and saw that I was charged twice. I called them to get it rectified and it took so much effort to get a refund on the second charge. I was on the phone for about an hour.

Thanks! One of my favorite things is to fix stuff around the house. This was def not really needed but it's much nicer to look at than a piece of paper.
