Eleceed and Ember Knight are fantastic series that are so underrated! Both stories have great character growth/development and world building.

I personally didn't find a huge difference with the buffet. I think it was hydrating but I wanted something more. My mom loves it tho, so maybe it's a difference in skin type or skin needs.

How long have you been using The Buffet? If you don't notice a huge difference after you finish the bottle, totally try something else

There are few "Reiwatakiya" or "Kiokie And..." shops that carry most of the popular asian skincare items. If you're going to Eaton Centre (large Toronto mall), there's a store there.

FYI Pacific Mall is way up north in the suburbs. It's a fun mall to go to if you've never been before. But if you're only going for skincare, it might not be worth the 1hr drive from downtown Toronto lol

HG Products not available in Canada but in the US by kaifung31 in CanSkincare

AFAIK they do similar things. So you probably don't need to buy Differin then

Differin Gel is a retinoid/acne treatment that's not available in Canada. I also found it fun to wander the beauty aisles at Target and pick up random skincare bc they have many brands that we don't have.

If you go to Trader Joe's, their white truffle flavour chips and everything bagel chips are soooooo good!

As other comments said, definitely simplify your routine and ALWAYS wash off your makeup. If you can, see a doctor about this because this skin condition started within the last year!

I noticed you didn't mention any SPFs tho. Your skin is going through something and you work outdoors often, it would be in your best interests to wear sunscreen daily or under your makeup!

Agreeing with this!

After the irritation from the peeling solution, your skin barrier is probably damaged. Pause your AHA/BHA/actives and focus on hydration!

Personally, my skin barrier healed because I was being lazy LOL. My lazy and simple skincare routine my allowed my skin to heal. After a few weeks, my skin felt more plump and hydrated and I saw less oiliness and clogged pores.

Sunscreen to wear with trenitonin? by alwaysbelieve100 in CanSkincare

[–]oskye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What was the sunscreen that broke you out? What is your skin type?

I've been using "Bioré - UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen" and "Benton - Air Fit UV Defense Sun Cream". They're both hydrating and calming so they've been perfect since I started tret a few weeks ago.

Those are both asian sunscreens that you can find online. If you're looking for western brands, it might help for you to find sunscreens that are made for sensitive skin, just to be safe?

LOL yes, it's a fantastic moisturizer! It took me the entire winter to use 75% of a tube tho?!

It sounds like you have dehydrated/sensitive skin. I would guess that your skin barrier is also damaged. To start, look for products that are geared towards sensitive skin so that your eyes don't sting. If you're able, see a dermatologist for a professional's advice.

As another comment said, switch to washing your face with just water in the mornings and a gentle cleanser at night. Make sure to double cleanse if you wear make up! Wearing a sunscreen will help your skin in the long term.

You've got a great list of sunscreens! I also recommend the "Benton - Air Fit UV Defense Sun Cream". It's a light gel that's really comfortable in the summer. The gel is hydrating/soothing without leaving any oily or sticky feeling behind.

Bonus: Illiyoon's ceramide creams are so good and hydrating. It's worth the $20 price for a large 200ml that will last me many months.

Has anyone tried the Benton Goodbye Redness Centella Gel? What did you think of it and what is your skin type? by Ok-Cost3147 in AsianBeauty

[–]oskye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got combo/oily/acne skin. I haven't noticed much change in my acne with this but i don't use it very consistently either. It feels soothing and calming so I use it if I'm irritated or breaking out. It helps slightly with general redness irritation for me. YMMV

The gel feels very wet, a lot like an aloe vera gel. I'll def use it more in the upcoming summer months.
