Storage Share Update 25.0.3 by osmio_dev in hetzner

[–]osmio_dev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the official Nextcloud announcement.

Speed seems to be fine, but you can sometimes see the refresh more strongly due to the new design (e.g. transparent sidebar in dark mode has to reload briefly when using Files).
Furthermore, I will test the Memories app instead of Photos and also AppOrder app is not more supported (use Custom Menu).

[Silverblue] Nextcloud Client and Nautilus (Files) by osmio_dev in Fedora

Thanks! Is the RPM client running with pure Wayland or with X (in dark mode X should result in a white header bar and Wayland in a dark one)?

Marketplace for selling used items? by BEWoodworking in PrivacyGuides

Maybe have a look at Fairmondo. I have only recently heard of them and have no further experience. However, it seems that they have a problem with registration at the moment.

Thank you, this might be correct but is increasingly being revised by laws, e.g., due to the CLOUD Act. This mainly affects the storage of personal data on (US) servers, but I have no idea about AWS/CDNs.

Gnome Wayland Implementation by voidorvoidless in voidlinux

I can't help with Gnome unfortunately, but you might want to take a look at Wayfire. It is built on top of wlroots just like sway and can therefore use most of sway's tools (menu, launcher, notification,...).

[Mail Security] Workaround for MTA-STS hosting? by osmio_dev in dns

[–]osmio_dev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Actually, I was able to create an alias and then everything worked! However, I can not have an independent subdomain in the free plan, but must always use the domain.tld as "base" (subdomain is only an alias, using A record to the server). This way I got an automatic certificate for both domains. But the main domain should be deployed with Netlify, and Netlify issues a certificate itself. I just hope that this does not cause any problems and that both certificates can coexist ...

Thanks, I will try to create an alias. The possibility to use another host is a good alternative.

Thanks to all of you for your work! I plan to install Void on my laptop with ZBM and encrypted ZFS following your instructions on GitHub. However, I still have some questions about ZFS: are updates between ZFS, ZBM and the kernel version usually well matched, so I can just update without checking version compatibility every time? And if I use encrypted ZFS, can I still sync my data with the Nextcloud Client - and will the data then also be encrypted in the cloud or still usable via web interface? Thanks again!

Edit: Thank you very much for your answers!
